Aramco Trading was established as Saudi Aramco’s trading arm in 2011 under the approval of Saudi Aramco’s Board of Directors. It established its headquarters in Al-Midra Tower in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and have 4 other global offices in London, Singapore, Dubai and America. Today, the company is recognized globally as a critical trading partner for refiners, shipping companies, financial institutions, end-users, and other product-trading companies. The company trades across the barrel including Crude, Middle distillates, Light distillates, bulk petrochemicals, polyolefin and recently clean energy like LNG, Emission and Biofuels.
Aramco Trading Singapore (ATS) is the largest subsidiary out of the kingdom and is actively trading within the region and globally across all products since 2018.
The Function:
ATS Finance team manages and carries out day-to-day and period-end accounting functions. Confirms the integrity of accounting information by investigating and researching accounting issues to ensure compliance as well as establishing quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Key Accountabilities:
Cash Management
· Execute payment of margin calls upon instruction
· Manage short term cash, minimize ATS’s exposure and maximize investment returns
· Estimate cash needs, calculate net cash position, analyze bank statements and investing/borrowing activity
· Extract financial data for reconciliation purposes
· Forecast cash payments and receipts
· Stays abreast of banking regulations from Monetary Authority of Singapore(MAS)
· Implement treasury management policy
· Recommend process improvement of banking and cash management methods in order to increase operational efficiency
· Manage and report on letters of credit facilities and communicate to Traders and Risk Control functions
·· Prepare treasury reports and debt/funding documentation for management
· Coordinate Treasury activities with Saudi Aramco e.g. analyze bank fees, recommend cost savings and develop proposals for capital management
· Analyze and support the preparation of accounts receivable and general ledger entries and reconciliations
· Monitor cash requirements and settlements
· Assist in ad-hoc projects
Reporting
· Maintain cash positions (including interest payable and interest receivable)
· Send financial reports to relevant departments
· Forecast daily cash balances and escalate to Treasurer and Finance Director for daily capital support
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
· Minimum 4 years’ of prior treasury or Finance experience in a trading environment
· Prior Accounting / Tax knowledge is a plus
· Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles GAAP
· Proficient in MS Excel/SAP
· Good team player with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
· Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
· Meticulous and a strong team player
