This may include creating policies and guidelines for the Abaqa Power team and leading the projects on process improvement and optimization. He/she also coordinates with internal and external stakeholders on pertinent commercial and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Fuel Procurement

• Responsible for working closely with the Fuel Management Team in the Manila head office and Power Station Operations as far as fuel-related activities are concerned.
• Monitors short- and long-term shipment plans based on actual consumptions and consumption projections coordinated with the Aboitiz Power Thermal power plants.
• Ensures that all fuel procurement transactions are in accordance with the policies and standards and with proper documentation and controls. Coordinates with Finance and Accounting on payable policies and procedures.
• Maintain purchasing documents, files, and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Identifies sensitive, high-risk or business critical issues, develops mitigation strategies and escalates and consults with leaders to agree on a suitable course of action in a timely manner.
• Resolve potential conflicts between the Group and 3rd parties (suppliers, customers, and shipping).
• Anticipate and mitigate risks and take initiative in proposing alternative solutions to issues.

Data Management

• Evaluate/Analyze current procurement activities and recommend improvements.
• Update the changes to related business standard practices and interpretprocedures to faculty.
• Review and monitor data for all pertinent business units, liaise with the team for corrections in order to maintain completeness and accuracy of purchasing data.

Other Tasks

• Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
• Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the immediate superior

Education & Requirements

• Minimum a Degree in Engineering preferred or related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years work experience with at least 4-5 years of experience in related fuel and/or fuel operations profession.
• Working knowledge of Import/Export procedures, INCOTERMS, and International Trade.
• Familiar with documentation and order processing, a good understanding of procurement practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of GAFTA will be an advantage.
• Knowledge with MS Word & Excel.

Digital Risk & Compliance (DRC) professionals transform the risk, regulatory and compliance management function from a series of isolated transactions to one of strategic scope and importance, encompassing all aspects of the entity, including investment, financing and operating decisions.

Engagement Management

• Manage project work or selected work streams in RR&C service line
• Supervise a project team in all components of strategy and governance, process excellence and integration, regulatory reform, performance insights and execution
• Assist clients throughout the full lifecycle of project implementation, integration business process redesign, communication and training, etc
• Work with client's business units, including Compliance, Risk Management, IT, Internal Audit, Legal, Strategic Planning, Analytics and Finance to gain thorough understanding of the corporate risk processes and procedures development
• Identify, define and document complex business specifications for risk platforms and procedures

Business Development

• Maintain contact with client management, assume leadership role in pursuit teams, and participate in all aspects of the proposal development process

Domain Development

• Lead/ assist in the development of new intellectual capital conduct leading edge research on white papers, support development of marketing collateral, and assist in publishing articles in industry periodicals

Additional Job Details:-

• Experience within a consulting (preferred) and/or banking firm is essential.

• Between 3 to 10 years of relevant work experience in any of the areas below: Enterprise risk management with deep understanding of risk governance, operating model, risk identification and assessment processes , Risk data analytics and reporting , Implementation of IRM/GRC tools o Control design, testing, optimization and automation Operational resilience and business continuity, Third party risk management Technology risk framework design, implementation and risk assessment,Data quality and governance.

• Proven track record in project delivery and change management.

• People management skills, with proven experience in leading teams, will be expected of Managers.

• Excellent communications skills, and proficiency in MS suite, particularly PowerPoint
