The Marine Superintendent will report to the Safety Operations/Quality Assurance General Manager. The incumbent will ensure the safe operation of ships and compliance to the statutory requirements of the International Safety Management (ISM) Code and International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.

The Marine Superintendent will assist in the implementation and upkeep of the Safety Management System, analyses risk and ensures compliance to the organization’s risk management framework. Fire safety Manager (Optional)

General duties of fire safety manager

• ensure at all times that fire safety requirements contained in the Emergency Response Plan are complied with;
