You have good communication and negotiation skills for engaging vendors and other external parties, to manage the vendor selection and evaluation processes, as well as vendor relationships and performance. As an experienced worker with both engineering and procurement expertise, you may also be called upon to preparing training materials to develop the team's procurement capabilities.

o Drive procurement operations

o Clarify product specifications, cost estimation and project logistics

o Monitor procurement budget and expenditure

o Manage non-conformities in delivery schedules and products

o Ensure materials purchased are according to Company's Purchasing policies & procedures

o Ensure procurement operations and workflows comply with regulatory safety and quality requirements

o Act as an interface between suppliers and end users to communicate supply issues or propose alternative purchases to end users

o Analyse data to propose changes to procurement policies and Workflows

o Establish and maintain ISO requirement and documentation. Assist in ISO Annual Performance Review for vendors

o Prepare buyer reports and updates

o Develop and drive VMI, JIT and lead time reduction programs etc. with vendors to achieve optimum inventory level

o Establish and manage different payment method to supplier in accordance to Company's corporate governance policy

o Analyse components' cost breakdown and carry out comprehensive price negotiation under the guidance of Supply Chain management or dept.

o Continually identify and implement new opportunities for Cost Savings and Cost Avoidance and proactively tracks progress toward these objectives

o Manages successful suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and zero-defect quality within the cost parameters per the marketing plan

o Assist supervisor with supplier rationalizations and segmentation initiatives and proactively reviews supplier performance.

o Establish metrics for and conduct supplier performance evaluations with corrective action requirements and productivity targets.

o Provides rigorous analysis of spend data and market trends and dynamics to prioritize and launch sourcing initiatives within designated spend categories
