The company is a prominent player in the shipping industry with network of offices in international locations. They are now looking to recruit a Compliance Specialist to join their team.

The Position

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the Compliance Specialist will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and updating our policies and procedures. Additionally, they will assess existing procedures to ensure the presence of robust controls. The role will entail maintaining a meticulously organized repository of policies and procedures, fostering a culture of compliance risk awareness within the group, and conducting initial sanctions screenings during vendor onboarding processes. Naturally, oversight and support of the counterparty KYC and sanction screening workflow will be essential responsibilities.

Role Description:

We are seeking an accomplished and dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist to lead the Company’s efforts in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety. You will play a crucial role in identifying and reporting defects, as well as implementing effective corrective and preventive measures. Role Responsibilities：

• Monitor and evaluate the quality and accuracy of our products and services

• Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in functionality, content, and customer complaints

Requirements：

• Preferably ITE, Diploma or Degree in Food Science or Biomedical Science
• Has at least 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test reading scripts
• Familiar with automated testing tools and software development methodologies
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks

Your Responsibilities

• Interact with employees at all levels and potential business partners in order to obtain information required to conduct effective third-party due diligence reviews. Conduct due diligence reviews on potential business partners and acquisition targets aligned with internal guidelines.
• Evaluate the risk of corruption in business practices to determine priority areas for policies, communication, training and auditing. Advise management regarding the requisite steps to bridge identified gaps.

Your Profile

• Business or Law degree (LLB or LLM) or equivalent suitable degree.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience. This may include law firm or legal/compliance department in a multinational company.
• Must be fluent in English, although additional knowledge of South East Asian languages will also be helpful.
• Must be able to travel throughout the country, regionally and internationally, and willing to work non-standard hours due to time zone differences.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.

As part of the Micro/EM Team, you will be responsible but not limited to the following:

• Performance of testing of EM / product stream samples to meet product release timelines and in accordance with cGMP regulations and Roche/Genentech standards.
• Support manufacturing operations by timely completion of testing and disposition.
• Continuous improvement of processes and technology, in collaboration with ASAT, to drive right first time and efficiencies.

• Supporting investigations of microbial contamination in production processes, classified environments, and critical utility systems.

Key Responsibilities

Technical and Functional:

• Testing and review of routine and non-routine environmental, raw material, product related samples in accordance to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Test Methods (TM).
• Perform EM which includes HVAC / BSC / HLFH / VLFH sampling, fingertips monitoring, compressed gases and water / clean steam sampling in accordance to cGMP procedures when required.
• Documentation and review of results in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and/or documents in accordance with cGMP Procedures.
• Prepare EM reports / trend graph for product lot release and trend data analysis.
• Review routine data and logbooks.
• General lab support including housekeeping, equipment maintenance, document archival, maintaining logbooks and inventory of lab supplies, etc.
• Problem solving of testing related issues as well as troubleshooting of equipment.
• Author and/or update existing SOPs, Forms, OJTs and TMs as needed.
• Initiate discrepancy record, perform discrepancy assessment and identify corrective actions where necessary.
• Train other analysts on methods and/or SOP.
• Responsible for ensuring that all training required to support / perform GMP activities are completed timely.
• Participate in internal / external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Raise work notification, g2g shopping cart for purchase of consumables / reagent / media for Lab use. Follow up on the planned receipt, Delivery orders, invoices when required.
• Understanding of basic microbiological principles (bioburden, LAL, plating and counting techniques, etc) and execution of intermediate techniques (DET, AET).
• Participate in project, validation and process improvement works.
• Perform equipment qualification / maintenance, liaise with external / contract lab / vendor.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory procedures and processes to ensure compliance to GMPs.
• Provide forecast for consumables / reagent / media used and facilitate in budgeting and financial planning.
• Perform sample receipt and storage of QC samples.
• Manage the life-cycle process for retain and reserve/reference samples.
• Manage and prepare the shipment of samples to Receiving labs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry or any Life Sciences discipline or equivalent

We are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Superintendent and this position will be reporting to the HSSEQ Manager and will be based in the Singapore office.

This QA Superintendent will facilitate assessment/review/changes of the procedures, forms, checklists etc. in SMS to ensure compliance with applicable standards (ISM Code, MLC, ISO 9001 / 14001/ 45001). This person will administrate Shipboard and Manning Agency Annual Internal audit plans (supported by the Fleet Auditors and Third-Party (Auditors) ensuring that ISM/MLC/ISPS/ISO audits are carried out timely within deadlines. This role will be responsible for the Environmental Management System (EMS) implementation and process- ISO 14001 standard / IHM / Bioufoluing Management Plan / BWMP / VGP/ NTVRP certification and process. This person will be establishing and maintaining an overview of future legislation coming into force and those relevant new requirements are addressed to management (SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC, ISO, Flag). Lastly, this person will administrate ship to shore annual emergency response exercise.

The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of relevant experience handling ocean going vessels. Candidates with sailing and shore based experience on dry bulk vessels will be preferred. Must have a proven knowledge and experience in conducting internal audits of vessels, office, and manning agents are essential. The ideal candidate must have attended Root Cause Analysis and Lead Internal Audit Training Workshops or Seminars, with good knowledge of International Maritime Regulations, Marine Industry Standards (ISM Code, MLC, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc), and HSSEQ practices are necessary.
