The Operations Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of products in a food manufacturing environment. This role involves monitoring production processes, conducting quality checks, enforcing compliance with regulatory and internal standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Control:

• Perform routine quality inspections and audits across all stages of the production process, including raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
• Monitor adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and food safety protocols.
• Review the tests method and analysis using established quality control methods, ensuring products meet defined specifications and standards.
• Responsible for the Batch record review and perform the release of the product. Work closely with production and supply chain team to ensure the market demand is fulfilled.
• Document and report non-conformities and collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the new product initiative with different stakeholders, ensure the quality of the product is compliance to the product specification
• Managing the equipment calibration used in QC & Production, to ensure the calibration is up to date and maintained.
• Review and manage the GMP audit, to ensure the GMP requirement is maintained and at audit ready status.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with GFSI standard and regulations (e.g. BRCGS, FDA, HACCP) and company policies.
• Assist in preparing for and participating in regulatory and third-party audits.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for traceability and regulatory purposes.

Process Improvement:

• Identify areas for quality improvement and work closely with production teams to enhance processes.
• Participate in root cause analyses and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and deliver training sessions for staff on quality standards and food safety practices.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Serve as a liaison between the Quality Assurance and Operations teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on quality objectives.

1 Broad Function

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform/support quality activities, resolve quality issues and investigation in RDC to support the continuous supply of commercial products in these countries in compliance to applicable local regulatory authority and the companys global/release requirements.

As Global Front End Central Quality (FECQ) Process Control System (PCS) Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be accountable for improving the process control for all Micron Fabs.

Supplier quality engineers communicate between internal stakeholders and suppliers to address and resolve quality issues, providing technical input and guidance on process enhancements and improvements. By doing so, this position ensures the quality of the medical devices produced on site meets the requirements of Alcon standards,21 CFR Part 820, Part 11, ISO 13485, the Medical Device Regulation (MDR), MDSAP and other applicable regulations and standards at Tuas. In this role, a typical day will include:

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supplier quality management and is the primary quality interface with the suppliers.
• Supplier Selection - identify and select suitable supplier to ensure all aspects of quality, capability, pricing, delivery and environment meet Alcon requirements.
• Supplier Qualification - conduct new supplier qualification thru the process of capability matching, supplier risk assessment, supplier self-assessment, onsite qualification audit and supplier quality agreement accordance with Alcon requirements
• Supplier Monitoring - assess, monitor and communicate Supplier performance, escalate issue when necessary.
• Perform thorough supplier audits and assessments of their processes and QMS drives improvement. Identify supplier-related problems and improvement opportunities.
• Work with internal stakeholders and suppliers on resolving of quality issues to closure for all incoming & production rejects through SAR process.
• Review and approve supplier investigations by ensure proper investigation and corrective actions execution.
• Monitoring and drive timely closure of the Supplier Action Request (SAR).
• Cross-functionally coordinates with the Procurement to perform periodic business review with selected suppliers.
• Perform and review all supplier quality related SOPs / Form changes and Gap
• Assessments Support internal and external audits and is responsible for audit finding closure, as required.
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve operational quality issues
• Trend, analyze and monitor key performance indicators, suggest improvements and escalate to supervisor/management as necessary
• Identify improvement opportunities and lead/support the implementation activities to improve performance and efficiency.
• Meet quality objectives set by management & comply to Alcon, QMS and Safety requirements. Drive and support supplier CIP (Continuous Improvement Program) by using quality tools to improve manufacturing process and product quality
• Drive full assessment for effectiveness of supplier process control plans, measures and activities Serve as Quality representative on project teams for new product design transfers
• Dive deep and maintain the technical understanding needed to actively contribute to engineering and product decision-making.
• Responsible as Super User in SAP IRIS for Supplier Quality Management relevant activities to meet Alcon’s requirement.
• Perform any other duties/ projects/ assignments assigned by Supervisor as per Business Needs.

Job Responsibilities

National Surgical Quality Improvement Programme (NSQIP) Data Collection and Reporting

• Work with clinician champion to identify surgical patients for inclusion in the Program through the application of Programme.
• Collect preoperative, operative, and postoperative data components for the Programme through the effective utilization of the hospital medical record systems.
• Attend weekly Morbidity & Mortality conferences to ensure reliable data collection of postoperative occurrences.
• Identify streamlining and process improvement opportunities in the data collection process.
• Demonstrate appropriate utilization of resources necessary to obtain valid, reliable data for entry into the Programme.
• Utilize software applications for data collection and analysis.
• Responsible for the accurate and timely entry of data into the programme’s database and meets the caseload accrual requirement protocol.

Operations Planning

• Drive process improvements and streamline workflows to ensure efficient operations and process flow for patient care journey and management of hospital-wide resources – beds, OTs, clinic space, office space.
• Support in the planning and coordination of clinical manpower planning and deployment.
• Analysis, monitoring and reporting of operations and clinical indicators at various platforms to aid decision making at department level.
• Support in annual department workplan and budgeting.
• Support as secretariat for department, internal and external workgroup meetings with stakeholders for operations planning matters.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Disseminate and implement hospital’s policies & procedures.
• Ensure Policy & Procedures are current.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution
• Experience in one of the following settings: hospital surgery department/clinic, clinical research, or medical records preferred.
• Ability to build relationships and gain alignment for clinical support.
• Ability to interact with all members of the surgical team and administrative staff in a professional and courteous manner.
• Computer and Internet experience required - familiarity and competency in MS Office products (Word and Excel) is essential.
• Database data entry and/or management experience preferred.
• Basic statistical knowledge preferred.
• Quality improvement or patient safety knowledge and experience preferred.

Additionally, the job supports production & planning teams to make use of spare capacity for revenue attainment purpose. The scope covers managing Marvell testers, handlers, probers & hardware with focus towards operational readiness and continuous improvement.

What You Can Expect

• Lead Engineer in NPI Operations who will collaborate with Equipment Engineering, Planning, Product & Test Engineering and External Vendors to successfully execute NPI Test development milestones. Allocate testers, tools and other resources to support NPI Project schedules.
• Prepare, monitor, update test floor capacity to support test debug, engineering samples and pilot production lots
• Establish and track NPI bring up schedules in collaboration with PE & Planning teams
• Track tools utilization and take actions when it drops below target
• Review weekly forecasts from planning team and ensure test floor readiness to meet engineering samples shipments
• Work with Equipment engineers and Facility teams on tester, prober, handler installation schedules and release
• Manage a team of technicians & operators that will operate tools and manage product inventory, lot movements in test floor
• Generate periodic management updates on operations metrics.

What We're Looking For

• BSEE/ME with minimum 8 years of experience in test operations
• Fundamental knowledge in ATEs, peripheral tools and their operational aspects (UltraFLEX, Advantest 93K testers, Tri-temp Probers and auto-Handlers)
• Some understanding in correlations, calibration, golden unit test, preventive maintenance & production release processes.
• Experience in driving root cause analysis and CA/PA/8D reports.
• Self-starter, fast learner, good communicator, able to work in matrix organization, juggle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge in ESD controls, GRR, 5S, TPM, OEE, 8D, ISO-9K, MS-Office tools.
