General Overview

The position is part of the Instrument Control and Electrical (ICE) team who is responsible for developing plans and schedules and providing advice to production and engineering team on all maintenance activities at the terminal.

Finance Executive - Credit Control

Responsibilities:

• Manage trade receivables and trade payables.
• Monitor the progress of collections.
• Prepare aging reports and analyze trends.
• Implement actions to manage overdue balances.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve identified issues.
• Provide support and supervision for Daily download of incoming remittances.
  - Identification and issuance of receipts.
  - Sending out monthly statements of account.
  - Maintaining lists of unprocessed items.
  - Matching receipts and payments.

General Ledger Support:

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Collate data for quarterly GST submissions to IRAS.

Requirements:

• Preferably have relevant experience within the insurance sector.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance.

Job Description:

• Collaborate with the business analysts (BA) and Product Owners during the requirement gathering phase to review & understand the requirements to a deep level of understanding.

• Study and analyze all documentation on the SME lending process, from customer and RM origination to disbursement, to understand the business requirements and translate into test cases.

• Prepares test plans, test cases and test scripts. Write test cases and test scenarios (positive and negative) for assigned project.

• Execute regression tests, user acceptance testing and live verification.

• Report, track and determine priority of reported defects through discussions with users and logging in JIRA.

• Works with the development Team and SIT team during performance testing, regression testing, and UAT.

• Do timely tracking of issues and coordinating with users and tech team to resolve the issues within SLA (Response to users within 1 working day).

• Prepare the relevant documentation that documents the test scope, test data, test cases and overall testing progress

• Stays abreast of QA & Testing best practice and latest available tools, frameworks and standards

Requirements:

• Meticulous, analytical and process oriented, familiar with software development lifecycle

• You work smart with minimal handholding, and able to understand complex logics and workflows, so that test cases created are thorough and complete.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, so that you can understand requirements clearly from users.

• A self-driven and highly motivated hands-on mentality

• Experience in UAT testing and using project management tools (Confluence, JIRA) is preferred

• Experience in banking industry and prior work experience in testing of digital lending platforms is preferred

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Compliance & Control, to join our Enterprise Risk Assurance team. This role is located in Singapore – Hybrid.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• With minimal guidance, lead and perform financial crime compliance thematic reviews efficiently, effectively and timely related to BNY’s businesses and operational processes to ensure adherence to applicable laws, rules, and regulations as well as corporate and business policies and procedures in accordance with the Global Compliance Testing Manual methodology for the APAC region.
• Analyzing control processes to ensure they are aligned and in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and internal corporate and business policies and procedures
• Understanding key regulations in scope to design applicable tests to be performed to assess adherence of the business to business, corporate and regulatory requirements
• Participate in the coordination and attendance of engagement planning meetings and walkthroughs
• Conducting and documenting high quality planning/fieldwork meeting walkthroughs and testing in accordance with Compliance Testing guidelines
• Communicating effectively, in both verbal and written mediums, observations and findings identified and facilitating the development and agreement of corrective action plans to the business, tracking actions proactively to conclusion
• Perform validation of business remediated findings by ensuring agreed upon action plans in the Compliance Testing Report are completed in full and properly supported
• Ensuring that all steps of Compliance Testing reviews are accurately recorded on BNY’s Compliance Testing system
• Representing Compliance Testing at internal meetings where required
• Training and supporting other team members on the application of the Global Compliance Testing Manual methodology and systems e.g., BNY’s Compliance Testing system
• Providing input to team, department and ad-hoc projects and assignments as required

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Preferred secondary/university graduate in business, compliance, finance, accounting, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Relevant industry qualifications are an advantage especially in the area of Financial Crime Compliance
• Minimum of 5-7 years financial industry experience preferably with minimum 3 years of Financial Crime Compliance & Risk, Financial Crime Compliance testing, control testing and/or internal audit experience with a solid understanding of the key steps of testing review/audit processes preferably at a large bank, financial institution, public accounting firm or regulatory body
• Sound knowledge, understanding and awareness of APAC laws, rules and regulations
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and competing priorities and being proactive in terms of planning and execution of reviews, raising and escalating challenges or concerns to team leaders and managers in a timely manner
• Ability to work with stakeholders across the Three Lines of Defense

• Inspect the plans, specifications, and blueprints thoroughly to understand the requirements-coming part inspection.
• Compile documentation of the inspection report, encompassing detailed reports and performance records.
• Liaise with engineers & supplier to achieve the required quality standard.
• Manage quality control administrative tasks.

Requirements:

• Nitec and above
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience
• Proficient in operating CMM and Smart Scope equipment.
• Familiarity with quality control standards.
