Job Description:
Workforce Singapore is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join our team as a Senior Manager/Manager for Futures and Innovation. You will be responsible for driving efforts related to futures and horizon-scanning, innovation and pilot incubation/experiments to support the growth and adaptability of Singapore's workforce and labour market. You will get to contribute to the shaping the future of work and workforce in Singapore through forward-looking initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Futures and Horizon-Scanning:
· Conduct research and analysis of emerging trends, technologies, and global developments impacting the future of work and workforce dynamics.
· Identify opportunities and threats to the workforce landscape and develop proactive strategies to address them.
Innovation and Pilot Incubation/Experiments:
· Lead the design of pilot projects and experiments to test innovative workforce solutions and interventions.
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the design of new interventions and evaluate their effectiveness in addressing workforce challenges.
Evaluation and Review:
· Monitor and evaluate the impact of pilot interventions and experiments, providing regular reports to senior management and stakeholders.
· Refine strategies and pilots/interventions based on feedback and evaluation results to drive continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement:
· Identify and engage with industry partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to gather and distill insights on future workforce needs and trends.
· Cultivate strategic partnerships to support the implementation of future-focused initiatives.
Qualifications:
· Tertiary qualifications in relevant disciplines or equivalent practical experience
Knowledge and Skills:
· Proven experience in futures thinking, horizon-scanning, strategic planning, management consultancy and/or innovation, preferably in a related industry or government setting.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and trends to inform strategic decision-making.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders at various levels.
· Demonstrated project management experience, including working with cross-functional teams and driving initiatives to successful outcomes.
