Job Summary

The Senior / Sales Engineer is mainly responsible for executing sales & marketing initiatives, engaging new customers and maintaining the relationship with existing accounts in order to bring in revenue for the Precision Robotics Business Group.

Job Responsibilities

To achieve and/or exceed sales and profit margin targets in assigned growth location/segment/customers, key responsibilities include (not limited to):

• Development of sales strategy and implementation of tactical plan.
• Identification of key/target accounts/industry segment.
• Building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline, through prompt updating of opportunities management tracking and account development planning.
• Develop new customer accounts through sales and marketing activities.
• Expand sales portfolio to all existing and new potential customers.
• Supporting any marketing related activities to improve the presence and customer knowledge of our Precision Robotic Products
• Providing customer feedback to the Research and Development team and Business Group management.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

People Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of sales experience with Industrial clients (i.e. B2B), 5 years of experience is needed for the senior position.
• Prior experience in the automation or robotics industry is preferred.
• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Computer Science or Equivalent
• Field sales experience is vital. Proven ability to interact directly with a sales organization, understand customer needs and influence them.

Requirements

1. Proficient in scripting languages such as Shell/Python/Go with more than five years of relevant development experience; familiar with containerized development, and priority will be given to Kubernetes community contributors.

2. Familiar with Linux kernel, with practical experience in kernel networking, storage, file systems, memory, scheduler, and cgroup.

3. Able to proficiently troubleshoot system layer and network layer performance issues and failures.

4. Possess senior Kubernetes operation experience, familiar with helm, and have in-depth business high availability and disaster recovery architecture optimization practice experience.

5. Have operation experience with open-source software such as Etcd, Zookeeper, HDFS, Kafka, ELK, Nginx, Pulsar, MySQL, Redis, LVS, and Keepalived.

6. Possess strong learning ability, crisis and risk awareness, strong owner mindset, and able to withstand significant work pressure.

7. Candidates with experience in internal system development/operation and maintenance at large-scale internet companies are preferred, as well as those familiar with Tencent Cloud architecture and services.

8. Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin), in order to communicate with various stakeholders in headquarters
