This position is responsible for overseeing the system and design solutions of Ariba, along with its integration into SAP S/4 HANA. The Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering (SCELSE) is a unique interdisciplinary Research Centre of Excellence (RCE), funded by National Research Foundation, Ministry of Education, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS). Hosted by NTU in partnership with NUS, SCELSE is linking new insights from the life sciences with expertise from emerging technologies in engineering and natural sciences to understand, harness and control microbial biofilm communities and microbiomes. This is enabled through its strengths in analysis of complex microbiomes, using advanced computational biology and cutting-edge facilities in genome sequencing, bio-imaging and bioreactor processes.

SCELSE is seeking to hire a Manager, Business Data Operations Management provide day-to-day facilities management and the data centre in SCELSE through ongoing end-user support as well as monitoring of HPC resources, including its 13,000 plus core compute servers and over 4 PB of high-capacity storage. The Business Data Operations manager is also responsible for the yearly performed external audit, as well as the key contact person for the SCELSE NSCC (National Super Computing Center) partnership.

In addition, the role will additionally ensure smooth operation of the SCELSE HPC through infrastructure planning, facilities budgeting, and regular review of physical and logical security of the SCELSE HPC with continued partnership with NTU-HPCC and NTU-CITS.

The role will provide direct support for the SCELSE-Sequencing Facility to meet the needs of their high-throughput sequencing machines, including integration of new lab machines, set-up and troubleshooting of network communications and maintenance and implementation of data processing workflows as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage the data centre and facility that encompass SCELSE-HPC compute hardware, ultra-low latency network, job scheduler, and high-performance storage
• Ensure smooth operations of SCELSE’s High Performance Computing between dual data centers (on-premises and hosted NTU site) including regular checks of environmental controls in line with ODFM and CITS safety and security measures; serve as primary contact point for all HPC facilities-related issues
• Conduct infrastructure planning including future upgrades to hardware, firmware, and software, of compute, high-capacity storage, and all accessory servers

As the Business Development Lead for Enterprise Learning Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in our business development efforts, expanding our continuing education Programmes to the enterprise market in Singapore and beyond. You will lead our successful team to further increase market share, create new revenue streams, and seize opportunities through a comprehensive sales strategy, partnerships with university schools, and collaborations with industry and trade partners.

Responsibilities:

1. Leadership for Business Development:

• Execute Enterprise business development strategy aligned with our institution's mission.

• Continuously assess market dynamics and identify opportunities for aggressive growth, market share acquisition, and new revenue streams through collaborations.

2. Revenue Generation, Growth, and Market Share:

• Drive substantial revenue growth, targeting specific market share goals through the acquisition of new clients, expansion of existing partnerships, and exploration of innovative revenue opportunities.

• Forge strong relationships with corporate clients to secure recurring business and establish market dominance.

3. Collaboration with Industry and Trade Partners:

• Proactively engage industry and trade partners to create mutually beneficial collaborations, revenue-sharing agreements, and innovative training opportunities.

• Leverage external partnerships to develop new revenue streams and expand our presence in corporate training.

4. Team Leadership and Development:

• Recruit and mentor sales professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and market share growth.

• Set clear performance objectives and provide professional development opportunities to drive team success.

5. Programme Development and Customization:

• Oversee the development and customization of training Programmes, ensuring they capture market share, diversify revenue streams, and meet the unique needs of corporate clients.

• Ensure training Programmes remain ahead of industry trends and aligned with best practices.

6. Engagement with Clients and Industry Partners:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients and partners, maintaining robust relationships while gaining insights into their training needs and collaborative opportunities.

• Collaborate closely to deliver tailored training solutions that secure market leadership and generate new revenue streams.

7. Quality Assurance:

• Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure consistent, high-quality training Programme delivery.

• Continuously evaluate training effectiveness and drive improvements.

8. Financial Oversight:

• Manage the budget for the enterprise training division, optimizing profitability while supporting revenue diversification.

9. Market Research and Analysis:

• Stay updated on industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies in corporate training.

• Conduct market research to pinpoint and capitalize on market share expansion and new revenue opportunities.

10. Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure all training Programmes meet service-level agreements and contractual obligations, reinforcing our market leadership.

• Provide transparent and insightful reports to senior leadership on market share expansion, revenue diversification, and industry collaboration.

Requirements:

• Tertiary education with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience and industry connections.

• Proven track record in enterprise training or corporate learning, driving revenue growth, market leadership, and revenue diversification through collaborations.

• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

• A self-started and strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable and measurable plans.

• Deep industry knowledge and commitment to delivering high-quality training solutions.

• A data driven business leader with strong growth mindset and stakeholder management skills.

Job Purpose:

• The SSM is the main interface between the Company's Customers and Suppliers including the end customer of the Partner. BDM is responsible for business expansion & execution of the suppliers' strategy. The SSM is responsible for the complete sales cycle with an aim to maximizing revenue, Net Gross Profits and Customer satisfaction by developing deep relationships with key people in the supplier organization, partners and end customers. Will be responsible for handling suppliers independently clearly focusing on delivery top-class value-added services.
