Location : Irrawaddy Road
Position : Temporary Senior Executive (Info Planning & Strategy)
Period of Contract: 12 months (tentatively Jun 2024 to May 2025)
Working Hours:
• 8.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Thursday
• 8.30am to 5.30pm, Friday
• Less 60 minutes’ meal break
Overview:
The job-holder will be supporting the Information Planning & Strategy (IPS) Directorate of Ministry of Home Affairs’ (MHA) Community Partnership & Communications Group, which oversees key work areas such as comms sensing, strategic planning and capability building.
Job Scope:
Assist IPS in the following:
a) Maintain Strategic Communications Grids
• Coordinate regular updates to the various strategic communications grids, and perform data entry to prepare templates for submission or updates to the grids;
• Liaise and follow through on administrative details for events which MHA senior management are invited to attend or are attending; and
• To track and update assignment of speeches to speechwriters and status of speeches.
b) Social media monitoring
• Conduct analysis of social media sentiments pertaining to the policies and operations of the Home Team and MHA.
c) Training
• Support in facilitating sign-up for courses and training organised by IPS;
• Liaise with course provider or trainer on logistical arrangements (e.g. booking of training venue) for the training;
• Provide onsite support and tracking of attendance during training; and
• Collate feedback at the end of each course/training.
He/she will also perform any other duties as required by the team.
Job Requirements:
• Diploma / Degree in any discipline. Salary ranges from $2,500 - $4,500 per month depending on qualifications and relevant working experience.
• Competent in Microsoft Office Software and Outlook
• Good inter-personal skills - ability to communicate and work effectively with colleagues and members of the public
• Good command, both written and spoken
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Experience in public communications would be an advantage
