Responsibilities for the Distribution/Marketing Compliance - Global Asset Manager - 6 month contract

• Advise on applicable laws and regulations dealing with investments, product and distribution in the investment management space
• Coordinate the internal controls reviews and recommend new measures for regulatory controls
• Handle the execution of protocols and review then where necessary
• Manage and oversee projects relating to Risk Control Self- Assessments (RCSA) and risk scans

Requirements for the Distribution/Marketing Compliance - Global Asset Manager - 6 month contract

• At least 5 years of relevant compliance experience
• Regional compliance experience, ideally APAC
• Speaking any regional language would be advantageous to liaise with regional stakeholders

Key Deliverables

(i.e. Outcome)

· Capture business requirements effectively and create user stories for development work packages.

· Communicate effectively with developers on explanation of user stories and validating the end implementation of the requirements.

· Facilitate in the production and agreement of solution designs; incorporating the inputs from Business and Technical teams.

· Communicate with product managers on product roadmap, backlog grooming, prioritization of requirements and sprint release/plans

· Handhold delivery of items throughout the delivery lifecycle and facilitate the team in resolving

· Co-ordinate with business stakeholders to acquire user feedback and refine requirements.

Qualifications/

Competencies

• A BA with 3-6 years of experience with IT departments of Banks or Financial Institution.
• Strong Knowledge in MAS610 and Axiom
• At least 2 years of exposure to working in Derivative Products (FX, Rates, Credit, Equity etc). Basic Functional knowledge of the products is essential.
• Strong technical experience in various system interfaces, database, scripts and excel tools
• Prior experience in Agile working would be a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively to senior managers, developers, stakeholders.
• Ability to produce clear, concise documents
• Strong presentation skills
• ‘Hands-on can do’ attitude

Scope of Service

a. Elicit, analyse, and document business and information needs which can be supported by the proposed platform as user stories.

b. Develop project plans, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.

c. Develop a prototype or perform data analysis in support of the business needs using any digital means available, such as python, R and Tableau

d. Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and progress.

e. Perform continuous iteration as required, ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to project requirements.

Work Experience

a. Candidate should have at least a Diploma, with at least one (1) year of experience in data science, AI, business analytics, statistics or/and data discovery and modelling.

Technical Skillset

a. A customer-oriented mindset, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

b. Experience in developing prototypes of digital systems using low code platforms, visual mock-ups, wireframe, etc.

c. Able to perform primary and secondary research to inform the design of a product, process or service journey by understanding user behaviours, needs and goals.

d. IT product management skills will be an added advantage.

e. Able to effectively facilitate and collaborate with stakeholders.

f. A team player who can work independently.

g. Self-motivated and resourceful.

h. Keen interest in the latest technologies.

General Skillset

a. Digital BA (Technical) with strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills will be an added advantage.

b. Digital BA (Technical) with strong verbal and written communication skills in stakeholders’ engagement will be an advantage.
