1. You will need to actively support SSBT projects at ERI@N in terms of project R&D, technology evaluation & consultancy, project coordination, and customer interfacing.

2. The role will include the following:

• Perform as senior technical lead for SSBT projects involving industry partners, government agencies and/or external collaborators.
• Provide inputs for conceptualization of research proposals related to sustainable urban solutions, green buildings, low-carbon district level solutions and agritech applications.
• Lead in preparation and submission of new research proposals or tenders.
• Leverage on extensive experience in academia, industry or public sector agencies to establish multi-disciplinary research collaborations.
• Guide technical analysis and research on energy modelling and simulation for green building and sustainable farming systems.
• Mentor junior team members to achieve positive research outcomes and project objectives.
• Engage stakeholders at management and working levels internally as well as with external funding agencies, collaborators and industry partners, including delivering presentations and guiding discussions or workshops as necessary.
• Co-lead in authoring of technical publications for research projects.

3. You will be an integral part of the SSBT team and will need to lead or participate in project discussions especially related to project implementation details.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in engineering (e.g. Civil, Mechanical, Clean/Renewable Energy, Building or IT related), sustainable buildings design or architecture.
• Experience in sustainable design/analysis for the built environment, Green Mark or LEED projects, M&E construction and development (min 5yrs preferred).
• Proficient in MS Office applications, BIM software, energy modelling or CFD software.
• Should be a very hands-on person, willing to take on non-routine tasks.
• Possess good communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Able to manage multiple stakeholders and work under tight timelines.
• Positive attitude, ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Familiarity with green building technology, HVAC system study and optimization, sustainable building design, building energy modelling, CFD modelling and BIM for built environment applications is preferred.

The MedTech Catapult has a dedicated objective of curating and accelerating the development of high potential MedTech projects through an in-house product engineering unit. This productization unit is responsible for supporting the development of technologies through the medical device development cycle to produce full-fledged hardware product systems. The Senior System Engineer will report to the Principal Engineer.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support systems engineering efforts for complex medical solution
• Supporting and reporting on all phases of the product development and operations lifecycle including hardware assembly and integration, software builds, loads and updates, configuration control, requirements, design, and test execution.
• Collaborate with a diverse technical team to create, update, and maintain documentation that is or will become part of the product design history file (DHF).
• Support the development and maintenance of product specifications, requirements documents, hazards analysis documents, usability and V&V documentation, and other technical documentation.
• Conduct Risk Management activities to ensure that design and process shortcomings are identified and appropriately addressed. Perform Risk Analyses, including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Operator Misuse Analysis (OMA), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities.
• Provide technical guidance for product design, development, integration, testing, and reliability improvements.
• Owns and drives resolution of design issues/defects
• Works with QA team to specify and document product tests for compliance to regulatory standards.
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Write and review documentations for QMS.
• Design risk analysis, risk management, Verification and Validation procedures.
• Interface with external parties (design houses) to communicate product requirements, and subsequent knowledge transfer to build internal capability

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Electro-mechanical engineering or relevant degree in a related field
• >5 years experience in medical devices (e.g. hardware, connected devices) managing product design and development, with hands-on experience in system architecture and integration of mechatronic systems
• Extensive knowledge in software and system integration
• Experience managing QMS and proficient with GMP guidelines and regulations which include managing system verification and validation
• Good collaboration skills, organised and detailed
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills

The MedTech Catapult is a national initiative for accelerating the development of high-value MedTech projects through an in-house product engineering unit. The objectives of the Programme Office are to i) support the operations of the MedTech Catapult, ii) develop strategies and seed partnerships to support MedTech Catapult activities; and iii) oversee and administer the grants. The Senior Assistant Director will report to the Deputy Director, Programme Office.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to develop and execute the overall programme strategy for MedTech Catapult, including plans for ecosystem development
• Specifically, to execute and manage programme operations concerning budget, finance, procurement, HR, facilities and legal etc.
• Contribute to refining the strategic direction of MedTech Catapult and support the development of refined strategies.
• Set up, convene and engage steering committee to provide six-monthly updates and to seek inputs to refine the direction of the programme
• Key interface with A*STAR HQ for reporting and alignment to SOPs and support programme needs under A*STAR requirements i.e. Business continuity manager, Data protection officer
• Coordinate and prepare accurate and timely reports to internal and external stakeholders
• To support grant management, tracking and review, as well as enrol and engage with KoLs and advisory members to ensure that funded programmes remain on track to achieve outcomes, milestones, performance indicators and budget utilization.
  • Organise and participate in the grants administration process
  • Set up, convene and engage project evaluation committee to provide critical evaluation of potential projects seeking to enter MedTech Catapult.
  • Monitor and track the progress, timeline, and budget of projects
• To set up and manage digital tools for programme and grants tracking
• Manage Associate, Programme Office as direct report
• To work with internal and external functions to support other operational activities for the Programme Office

Requirements

• B.S in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Design, Bioengineering or other relevant experience in a related field.
• >10y of working experience in either medical device/life sciences industry, research & development, business development, strategic/corporate planning or any other relevant roles
• Familiarity with programme and grants management is a plus
