What you'll do:

The Research Officer will oversee the progress of the research study under the supervision of the Principal investigator. They will perform a variety of research activities which include planning and execution of experiments for functional validation, leading up to a scientific publication.

What you'll do

The incumbent will undertake research in SERI and clinical research work at SNEC related to a broad range of ophthalmological conditions. He/she will assist the Director, Investigators and Consultants in the successful execution of the project(s).

The Research Component includes the following:

• Lead and Develop the discovery and translation of novel biomarkers, targets and therapies
• Report scientific outcomes and strategies to the Lead PI and Collaborators to support the successful development, coordination and management of the program

Job Requirements

• MMed (Ophthalmology), FRCS or its equivalent, registrable with the Singapore Medical Council

Job Description:

1. Effective management of key customers in General Surgery, Oncology and Rare Disease.

2. Identify the key customers’ potential and work with marketing to grow the sales in the key accounts.

3. Drive the product listing process in key customers and follow through every stage/process to ensure successful listing in timely manner.

4. Support the marketing team for marketing activities at the assigned key customers.

5. Build strong rapport with the key customers and its stakeholders and ensure successful execution of sales and marketing activities in respective key customers.

6. Responsible for effective promotions, planning, proposals and execution.

7. Conduct CMEs, round table meeting and other activities to constantly engage the stakeholders of the key customers.

8. Execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve sales targets.

9. Familiarize with the ordering and purchasing process of specialty products in Private clinics, Private and Government hospitals to ensure no delay in ordering process.

10. Obtain latest market information from time to time and add value to marketing plans to gain competitive advantage.

11. Collaborates with our 3rd party partners managing the Patient Access and Market Access programs to ensure adherence to programs and to ensure no delays in treatment for eligible patients.

12. Generate new business and raise awareness of company products.

13. Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and create new accounts by planning and organizing daily territorial planning.

14. Maintaining necessary data and records.

15. Conduct sales presentations and prepare sales weekly & monthly reports.

Requirements:

1. Minimum Diploma

2. 3-4 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical industry, particularly specialty care sales experience. Experience with Oncology products is an added advantage.

3. Strong negotiation and business partnering skills with ability to manage and negotiate with key decision makers in the hospitals. Experience in handling specialist and key stakeholders in both Private and Government hospitals is required.

4. Highly dependable and able to work independently.

5. Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

6. Candidates with a Class 3 valid driving license and a car would be preferred (Transport allowance is provided).

What You Will Do

As a Research Consultant, you will support and assist Senior Consultants and Project Directors to:

• Design and conduct all forms of qualitative research including in-depth interviews, focus groups and observational techniques
• Design and conduct all forms of quantitative research including design of study, sampling, data collection, data processing and analysis
• Manage projects and deal directly with clients on project deliverables

Role:

• Provide leadership in implementation, support and management of the Enterprise Monitoring tools to meet the business requirements of the Co
• Ensure all critical applications and services are properly covered within the monitoring and alerting systems in a manner consistent with the Co.s’ standards; collect the right metrics at the right frequency and ensure the data is readily available for effective alerting, reporting, and analysis.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of dev, ops, and architects to understand complex application architectures in order to implement an effective top-down monitoring strategy for holistic service visibility
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with monitoring tools and ensure high availability
• Participate in strategy and future implementation discussions for the redesign and implementation of the monitoring environment to modernize with latest technology trends.

Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. At least 10 years of IT experience of which at least 5 years’ experience in similar role, ideally in a financial institution.
• Experience with Application Monitoring Tool / Geneos / Prometheus.
• Experience with monitoring application's performance, availability and end-user experience to ensure the application is functioning properly in a large enterprise environment.
• Good understanding or experience in Openshift container platform is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills; good communication skills and strategic thinking
• Able to work independently on individual assignments, while collectively with a team on larger projects.
• Strong understanding of multi-tier application architectures and application runtime environments
• Familiarity with workflow management and ITSM tools such as Remedy or ServiceNow
• Good understanding of Agile (Scrum or Kanban) and implementation of same in real world along with exposure to associated tool sets (JIRA/Confluence).

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical vision and create roadmaps to align with the long-term technology strategy
• Create the target architecture for an application / set of applications with emphasis on platforms, reusability, scalability and security
• Work with stakeholders to define capabilities and principles for an application
• Work on governance aspects for the Data Analytics applications such as documentation, design reviews, metadata etc
• Document design ideas in well-crafted presentations and engage with stakeholders for their concurrence
• Review and help streamline the design for big data applications and ensure that the right tools are used for the relevant use cases
• Engage users to achieve concurrence on technology provided solution.
• Conduct review of solution documents along with Functional Business Analyst and Business Unit for sign-off
• Create technical documents (functional/non-functional specification, design specification, training manual) for the solutions.
• Review interface design specifications created by development team
• Participate in selection of product/tools via RFP/POC.
• Provide inputs to help with the detailed estimation of projects and change requests
• Execute continuous service improvement and process improvement plans.

Skills

• 10-15 years of experience with Data Architecture in the banking domain including implementation of Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Marts, Lake Houses etc
• Experience in data modeling for large scale data warehouses, business marts on Hadoop based databases, Teradata, Oracle etc for a banking industry.
• Expertise in Big Data Ecosystem such as Cloudera (Hive, Impala, Hbase, Ozone, Iceberg), Spark, Presto, Kafka
• Experience in a Metadata tool such as IDMC, Axon, Watson Knowledge Catalog, Collibra etc
• Expertise in designing frameworks using Java, Scala, Python and creation of applications, utilities using these tools
• Expertise in operationalizing machine learning models including optimizing feature pipelines and deployment using batch/API, model monitoring, implementation of feedback loops
• Knowledge of report/dashboards using a reporting tool such as Qliksense, PowerBI
• Expertise in integrating applications with Devops tools
• Knowledge of building applications on MPP appliances such as Teradata, Greenplum, Netezza is a plus
• Domain knowledge of the banking industry include subject areas such as Customer, Products, CASA, Cards, Loans, Trade, Treasury, General Ledger, Origination, Channels, Limits, Collaterals, Campaigns etc

What you'll do:

• Conduct and coordinate clinical or epidemiologic studies in line with the department's research strategy and under the direction and supervision of the Principal Investigators and Collaborators, this may include examination of human subjects.
• Manage these research projects in a team-based, cross functional research environment, which include supervising post-doctoral students, research assistants, technical and other support staff.
• Publish research outcomes in appropriate journals of international standing and to publish and disseminate the result of research and scholarship in other reputable outlets.
• Support in grant writing
• Attend and present research findings and papers at academic and professional conferences, and to contribute to the external visibility of the department.
• Draft research reports for Principal Investigators.
• Undertake such specific roles and management functions as may be reasonably required by the Principal Investigators/Directors.
• Attend meetings and to participate in other committees and working groups within SERI/SNEC (where necessary).
• Ensure compliance with health and safety in all aspects of work.

What you'll be expected to have:

• PhD in biological sciences or related discipline
• Knowledge in ophthalmological conditions and diseases is advantageous
• Able to work independently, as well as in a team-based, cross-functional research team
