JOB PURPOSE
1. Plan, manage and lead all research related activities
2. Supervise junior researchers in day to day running of the project
3. To promote a positive working environment characterized by collegiality and effective teamwork
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific
1. Working closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) in the design, planning and conducting of research and results analysis. Contribute and lead the team’s scientific writing for manuscript preparation and journal submission.
2. Responsible for research projects in the areas with oversight and be provided minimal daily supervision from the PI.
3. Oversee routine research operations and procedures.
4. Prepare research presentations and reports
5. Train and supervise research staff or students in research techniques and complete research projects including manuscripts submission for publication.
6. Assist in grant preparation, submission and outcome tracking.
7. Perform data analysis (quantitative and qualitative work)
8. To manage research accounts and budgets and work with finance department.
9. Mentor junior research staff and new staff and help to promote a working environment of collegiality and effective teamwork.
10. Assist PI to assign research and analysis work to the team, supervising that the staff member can perform the work proficiently before doing so to deliver appropriate output
11. To liaise and work with vendors, human resource, grant bodies, internal partners and external collaborators
12. Liaise with the necessary parties for archiving of study documents throughout the course of the study while maintaining the site investigator file.
13. Assist PI to organize/coordinate research meetings.
14. Assist PI in the submission of ethics (NHG Domain Specific Review Board) applications, grant applications, progress reports to funding agencies and NHG DSRB and ensure the timelines are maintained.
15. Proactively pre-empt potential obstacles

1. Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor / Head of Department.
2. Constantly evaluate and make continuous improvement to work processes
3. Actively participate as a member or team lead for quality improvement projects of Hospital-wide / Departmental level.
