Supply Chain Management Officer (Purchasing & Logistics)
Responsibilities
Procurement of office supplies and pantry supplies.
Assist in Material Requirement Planning (MRP), monitoring delivery schedule and inventory control of VMI items in a Pull/JIT Production environment.
Liaise with Marketing and Sales Department on shipping documentation, scheduling and booking local transportation and outbound sea/air freight.
Work closely with other departments to resolve product quality and customer complaint issues.
Participate in Kaizen/continuous improvement projects.
Requirements:
Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply, but 2 years experience in the manufacturing industry can be beneficial.
Knowledge of ISO9000, TS16949, ISO14001 and OHSAS18000 preferred.
Knowledge in implementing Supply Chain Management practices, inventory control and distribution management.
Experience in using ERP software especially Lawson’s Movex and implementation of kaizen/continuous improvement will be added advantage.
Resourceful individual and a good team player
Positive and willing to learn, able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Deliverables:
To achieve departmental Objectives, especially on efficient operation cost control, shipping OTD, stock control, etc.
Successful implementation and post review of either departmental/company’s Kaizen/ Lean projects.
Prompt and “Delighted” resolution of customer complaints.
* Salary range: $2200 - $2500
* Working hours: 8am - 5.30pm
* Working days: Mon - Fri
* Other allowance/incentives: eg housing/hostel/meal (Meal $70)
