Our client is a Singapore-Headquartered Commodity Trading Firm. They are looking to hire an experienced energy/O&G trading lawyer legal professional as General Counsel. As the pioneer legal hire, the successful candidate will work closely with the Founder and Traders on all legal matters.

Requirements:

• Degree in law (LLB) from a Singapore or reputable overseas university; called to the Singapore bar or Common Law.
• Minimum of 8 -12 years post-qualification experience in a law firm or as a legal counsel with industry-relevant experience (in an oil, energy, and/or commodities company).
• Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments such as operations, traders, trade finance, and shipping.
• Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working collaboratively and independently.

About The Role

We’re currently looking for a Regional HR and operations manager who has excellent organizational skills and great personality to help us to achieve organizational efficiency by nurturing a positive and inclusive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a natural flexibility in handling day-to-day routines as well as surprises. This role will be responsible for managing the HR functions, internal and contracting payrolling, maintaining employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies, coordinating office operations, managing vendors and office admin.

Key Responsibilities:

• In charge regional general and Human Resources and staffing functions in Singapore, Japan, China, and Hong Kong.
• Responsible for work pass administration such as work pass applications, renewal, cancellation, and issuance.
• ·Onboarding and Offboarding procedures for new joiners/leavers (e.g., Orientation/Exit Interview
• Payroll management for Singapore & Hong Kong
• Contracting Payroll & Administration for external contractors regionally
• Government Claims Submission (CPF/GPL)
• Tax filing & tax clearance for Singapore & Hong Kong
• Preparing documentation for internal and external auditors
• Insurance & License Renewals (Medical Insurance, Office Insurance & EA/BR License)
• Manage day-to-day office operations, including collecting mails and pantry supplies.
• Manage relationships with vendors, service providers and landlords.
• Ad hoc job duties, projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a HR and Admin manager
• Knowledge of HR functions and best practices
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with payroll, benefits administration and office admin work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

You are able to show evidence of solid revenue performance, existing client networks and growing ability to broadly influence both internally and externally.
