Our client, a leading quality food provider and wholesaler, is looking for suitable talents to join their growing business as QA Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be the main person in charge in maintaining the Management System (FSMS and HSE).
• Manage and report actions for products under quality on-hold or other issues to the Management including major issues which could affect business performance.
• Lead and ensure the QA team perform their roles and responsibilities as defined in their job description.
• Ensure all products received, stored, process, packed and distributed in compliance with SOPs
• Key contact person for operational staff, customers and suppliers on Quality matters.
• Overseeing and Handling of customer complaints/feedback and Goods Return.
• Ensure process monitoring - GWP/Pest Control/Hygiene/Safety in the company compound.
• Ensure compliance of CCP / OPRP and food safety requirements of manufacturing kitchens.
• Involving in regulatory, statutory and customer’s audits and assist in follow-up corrective/preventive actions.
• Manage Document Control.
• Relationship management on QA or compliance matters, supporting our Sales, Operation & Logistic team.
• Handle licensing and certification application and renewal with authorities and certification bodies.
• Any other ad hoc duty as assigned by the Management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Food Science or relevant disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, with supervisory/people management experience
• Knowledge in ISO 22000 / FSSC22000, or any other GFSI recognized certification
• Knowledge in Halal, ASC & MSC, ISO45001 and BizSafe certification
• Comfortable with communicating with internal stakeholders and external parties (Eg, SFA officer, auditors, customers, vendors, etc).
• Technically oriented and able to deal with meat product
• Knowledge in ready-to-eat, cooked chilled / freeze production food safety requirements
• Knowledge in product labelling requirements
• Proficient in MS Office applications

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement import strategies to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and third-party logistics (3PL) to manage import processes, container clearance, and timely unstuffing.
• Track and update shipping schedules in Navision, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Provide weekly import reports to management and R&D teams, and communicate any changes to vessel schedules or shipping info.
• Lead end-to-end transfer of raw materials and finished products between warehouse and production plant.
• Ensure damaged goods are reported for claims and oversee sample transfers for testing.
• Plan monthly import activities and warehouse storage to drive cost savings and optimize space.
• Prepare inventory aging and monthly forecast reports, and follow up on aged or sample stock.
• Ensure compliance with import regulations, company procedures, and ISO standards.
• Oversee transportation and monitor shipments to ensure timely arrival and proper documentation for customs clearance.
• Analyze and manage the budget for import shipping, identify cost-saving opportunities, and verify invoices from 3PL.
• Resolve any issues related to shipments such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, and act as the main liaison between internal teams and external suppliers.
• Supervise and train the import shipping team, conduct performance evaluations, and promote team development.
• Stay updated on industry technology advancements, manage Navision system updates, and identify potential risks in the import process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of managerial experience in manufacturing or relevant industries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Navision ERP system.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive team leader with experience organizing and leading teams to achieve operational excellence.

Business development

· Ensure that restaurants/bars are financially successful as independent profit centres by driving and soliciting business opportunities.

· Fully responsible and accountable for the restaurant revenue and profitability, to ensure that the operational budget is adhered to and that all costs are controlled and expenditures pre-approved.

· Continuously seek ways to maximise revenue and profit through sales calls, networking events, partnerships and cooperation.

· Coordinate with DSOM any event enquiries, and perform all the necessary follow-up to ensure all events are carried out successfully; Maintain an active trace/follow-up system on all personal sales calls.

· Coordinate efficiently all event sales-related responses with DSOM with the aim of ‘closing the deal’.

· Create and update all restaurant online/offline information alongside DSOM, and distribute necessary information and write-ups internally and externally.

· Establish good rapport with guests, maintain good relationships and handle all feedback, requests and enquiries on food, beverage and service.

· Develop and refine a comprehensive mailing list/database for clients in conjunction with room-side mailchimp database, and maintain a regular communication to this database on the F&B offers of the hotels to encourage new and repeat business.

· Maintain/monitor all online booking platforms, including but not limited to Chope, HGW.

· Maintain/monitor alongside DSOM all Digital marketing/booking platforms for Restaurants eg., Facebook; IG; YouTube; EDMs; Chope, Quandoo, HungreyGoWhere, STB/TIH, and Websites to be populated with relevant posts about Restaurant.

· Proactively remain relevant in media by providing new events/articles/photos to various publication

Operational

· Ensure seamless service levels, including hiring and training crew.

· Rostering.

· Reservations management.

· Ensure restaurants have the correct “vibe” at all times; ensuring the sound, light, look of everything, including staff look/uniform/attitude reflects the brand.

· Ensure Marriott L&D and Lobster Inc training is assigned and completed constantly (learning never stops).

· Create, update and maintain all SOPs.

· Personally and frequently verify that the guests receiving the best possible service; respond to all Tripadvisor comments within 24 hours and all Marriott CFS alerts within 12 hours.

· Prepare and confirm all meeting/group proposals and contracts.

· Manage all aspects of F&B Operations, including, restaurant service operations (breakfast, lunch, executive lounge, dinner, Bar, Events); communication with culinary team; rosters across hotels, etc.

· Assist in maintaining strong team performance by regularly reviewing KPI’s and goals against performance and realigning strategies according to results; perform performance reviews per schedule.

· Entertaining guests in a consistent, professional and positive attitude.

· Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness per Singapore Government and Marriott Standards.

· Maintain and renew all needed licenses.

· Plan, control and ensure execution of all maintenance work, including logging in GXP and recording methodology.

· Monitor the quality and quantity of all food and beverage items served; inventory management and reporting routinely.

Job Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Food & Beverage Services Management or equivalent.
