Manage the marketing activities for Hips portfolio, including enabling digital technology, as Hips total solution in APAC. Responsible for the crafting of marketing strategies for the Hips business and execute the strategies focusing on new products launch, surgical procedure development and technology adoption. Work closely with the Leadership Team in APAC to identify opportunities in the various markets, from developed to emerging markets. Develop robust Professional Education programs to drive and up skill surgeon training. Increase our Sales Force Effectiveness through focused sales training curriculums and differentiated selling tools.
Job Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy, Planning & Competitive Analysis
- Conception of marketing strategies, preparation of marketing plans and its implementation using Big Picture Marketing
- Liaise with marketing and advertising agencies to build a strong product communication plan around portfolio for external messaging.
- Work closely with sales team to have an in depth understanding of market trends and competitive activities and adjust marketing plans to respond to market.
- Provide monthly update on the execution of marketing strategies and competitors.
New Product/Procedure/Technology Introductions
- New Product Introductions (NPI) – Prepare, plan, together with the Leadership and sales teams to identify new product introductions to maintain market leadership, create first mover advantage or drive to competitor This exercise should be done during business planning. Develop a communication plan both internally and externally to create demand
- Prepare a pre-launch, launch and post launch plan to flawlessly execute a new product introduction.
- Drive procedural technique and digital technology adoption.
- Responsible for demand forecast input and actively involve in IBP (Integrated Business Planning) conversations and processes.
Profession Education
- Work with APAC & Asia Pacific Teams to develop and execute Professional Educational programs for surgeons from building awareness to trial to adoption of a procedure/product.
- Provide surgeon selection guide to sales team to ensure the surgeons selected for Professional Educational programs matches the program.
- Drive cadaveric or sawbone workshops to increase the adoption, utilize KOLs and leverage on Centres of Excellence within APAC to drive Professional Education programs to enhance the overall surgical skills of surgeons within the country. Help in tracking procedure adoption post training.
KOL Management & Market Development Activities
- Build and maintain key customer relationships to develop key opinion leaders and reference base to support professional education and market development
- Develop robust pipeline of KOLs for new product launches and Profession Education programs.
- Establish Centers of Excellence with KOLs to provide Professional Education training.
Product Management
· Work closely with Asia Pacific or Global teams to develop robust New Product Introduction plan to create a competitive advantage for sales teams.
- Ensure product competence of sales force through regular product training
Transfer of Success Models (TSM)
- Study the successful business models from Asia Pacific and Global teams, and subsequently customize and implement them in APAC.
- Identify and transfer of Best Practice Sharing across the sales teams within APAC.
People Management Responsibility
- This role will encompass people management responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional Experience Requirements:
- 10-15 years of demonstrated leadership experience in a sales/marketing/education function
- People management experience is preferred.
- Relevant experience in the APAC region
- Must have in-depth understanding of medical device industry with special interest in orthopaedics
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical, interpersonal, multi-cultural communication and leadership skills are essential to incumbent’s success
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Science, Biochemical Engineering or related field. MBA qualification is preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Demonstrated superior leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of the company, including executives
- Capable of handling multiple projects/tasks simultaneously in highly dynamic and stressful
- Ability to work harmoniously in cross functional, team-based environment and effectively manage change at all levels of the supply/demand
- Significant travel within APAC region (up to 50%)
