The Data Center Facilities Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of our data centre infrastructure. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facility's operation, including power, cooling, fire protection, security, and environmental controls. Other responsibilities include managing data center floor space and security. Key objectives are to:

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage:

•A team of outsourced data centre technicians and contractors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

•Projects related to the maintenance, upgrade, and expansion / optimization of the data centre infrastructure.

•Hosting sites are run as per SLA and within limits of key data centre operating parameters for power cooling and environmental settings

•Emergency response plans for diverse scenarios like power outages, fires, or natural disaster

Ensure optimal performance:

•Of critical infrastructure systems, including power distribution, cooling systems, fire suppression systems, and security systems.

•Of the data centre environment, maintaining optimal temperature, humidity, and air quality.

Plan and execute:

•Preventive maintenance schedules and corrective actions for identified issues.

Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with minimum 5 years relevant industry experience or Diploma in electrical engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in datacentre infrastructure and facility management

•Familiar with fire safety rules and regulations associated with operating complex datacenter infrastructure

•Proficient in data centre monitoring and management software

•Familiar with data center fiber and structure cabling would be a added advantage
