RESPONSIBILITIES

A Therapy Assistant is responsible for providing support to therapists before, during and after therapy sessions. Job Description

• To prepare and distribute ingredients before start of practical lessons daily.
• To assist in weekly food ordering and collect ingredients upon delivery by vendor.
• To check that the vendor has delivered all the ordered ingredients.
• To store food ingredients accordingly to food safety standards.
• To perform inventory checks in NFS Special Rooms.
• To maintain the quality of utensils and cooking equipment.
• To upkeep maintenance of NFS Special Rooms (Kitchens, Office, Classroom) including cleanliness of Cookery Room and equipment including cleaning of worktops and mopping of kitchen floor daily.
• To perform simple office tasks to support teacher in the kitchen or NFS room such as helping to lay out laptops and accounting of ICT peripherals used for teaching & learning thereafter.
• To perform general cleaning of NFS rooms and other special rooms A&T Special Rooms every Friday and June/Sep school holidays as tasked by HOD in-charge.

Job Requirement

• Have at least 1 year working experience working in school kitchens or commercial kitchens.
• The Personnel should preferably have the following qualifications and skills:
• Possess good knowledge in food and kitchen safety; skillful in food handling with relevant certification preferred (e.g Food Safety Course Level 1 by ITE, WSQ Food Hygiene Course (Food Safety Course Level 1), Food Safety Course Level 1 by SHATEC).
• Able to work well in a dynamic environment.
• A team player with good organisation, time management and communication skills.
• Have a Pass in PSLE to communicate well with students, food supply vendors and maintenance contractors.
