The Human Resource Officer shall have the following minimum qualifications:
· University degree in Human Resource Management and/or relevant Human Resource Management qualifications;
· Willing to learn and work in an HR team (with team members world-wide);
· Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative;
· Very good command of the English language.
The Human Resource Officer is responsible for:
· Supporting the Top Management & HR Manager Asia Region with the recruitment and employment of shore-based personnel;
· Ensuring that the activities of the Human Resource department are well planned, organized and carried out in an effective and efficient manner;
· Ensuring that the Human Resource department has the capability and resources to meet departmental responsibilities and objectives;
· Ensuring that non-conformities and observations are investigated and timely followed-up;
· Carrying out new employee induction as per the relevant procedure in the Company’s Office Manual;
· Managing the performance management process and monitoring results;
· Supporting the Top Management & HR Manager Asia Region with employee grievance and disciplinary matters;
· Ensuring that all relevant Human Resource procedures are implemented, maintained, reviewed and improved, as per the Company’s Office Manual;
· Ensuring systematic and controlled planning and provision of training to shore-based personnel as per the Company’s requirements;
· Ensuring that Superintendents are always medically fit to travel to and onboard the Company’s vessels under management, in order to fulfil their job duties as required;
· Ensuring that employee records and pre-employment checks are up to date;
· Ensuring compliance with employment law and regulatory requirements;
· Providing support and assistance to the Top Management on all Human Resource related matters as required;
· Being adequately conversant with the Company’s Management System;
· Implementing effectively the Company’s Management System;
· Contributing to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures;
· Promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement;
