An exciting role has come up with a Financial Institution for an Internal Audit SVP/Director.

This is a people management role and you will manage a small team of internal auditors. You will work with the business to devise an annual Internal Audit plan. Thereafter, you will work with the team in the design and execution of audit planning, fieldwork, reporting and ongoing issues tracking. You will also be the key point of contact from a 3rd line perspective whenever there are queries from Risk & Compliance or any regulators.

The ideal candidate should possess at least 10-15 of experience in audit, ideally with exposure to regulatory requirements within a Financial Institution. Professional qualifications such as CIA/CA/ACCA/CPA/CISA highly advantageous. Given the small team, you should have the ability to adapt to the culture and fast-changing requirements in the Financial Services sector. Strong communication skills would be a pre-requisite due to the need to work alongside senior stakeholders. Candidates with working knowledge of Mandarin with be highly preferred due to the need to work with stakeholders in other Greater China locations.

Your New Role

As Director of Corporate and Internal Communications, you’ll play a pivotal role in our organization's regional leadership team. You’ll be leading the development and execution of communications strategies, corporate messaging, internal communications and executive communications relative to the strategic direction of Warner Bros. Discovery, for internal and external audiences.

You will take ownership of the region’s Internal Communications efforts, working closely with global and local counterparts to ensure our strategies and engagement are aligned. Reporting to the Head of Communications, Asia Pacific, will directly support APAC Leaders, and work closely with other local functions such as Marketing, Publicity, Programming, Creative, Advertising Sales, Commercial Strategy, as well as the APAC Communications team. Your Role Accountabilities

• Assist Head of Communications, APAC, in strategic corporate communications activities, including strategic planning, corporate messaging, media relations, and events.
• Central APAC Communications lead for global projects, including DEI, CSR, and Technology.
• Oversee and execute key partnerships and industry events, awards and engagements that further all corporate communications initiatives.
• Develop and execute an Internal Communications plan at the regional level, including for the President, APAC.
• Ensure cohesive internal messages for key business and employee engagement initiatives, including ownership of all internal tools [e.g. Workplace] and events [i.e., Town Halls] at a regional level.
• Work with the APAC leadership team to identify communications opportunities, and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
• Provide counsel, in consultation with Head of Communications, APAC, for internal and external crisis situations when required, including proactive planning for high-risk matters and reactive issues management.
• Develop and maintain key relationships with media and industry bodies that are relevant to the above strategies.
• Develop clear KPI’s and measures of success for all communications initiatives.
• Partner effectively with all internal functions, including content, marketing, PR, research, commercial and advertising teams in APAC and internationally.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10 years’ experience in communications, with experience in Internal Communications Strategy and tools highly desirable.
• Independent thinker with a strategic mindset and strong advisory skills who can also follow through with project execution.
• Demonstration of devising and implementing creative and strategic communication plans, including understanding of corporate positioning requirements.
• Dynamic personality, adaptable with a high-degree of professionalism, and a team player.
• Comfortable with a large, diverse workload and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders across a global company and time zones (including senior executives).
• Ability to build and nurture relationships with press and key stakeholders.

The Senior Director of Internal and Executive Communication, Asia Pacific, drives the direction and development of the internal communication strategy and plan for the region with the primary goal of energising Visa’s culture through an invigorated and modernised approach that gets people excited and generates enthusiasm about Visa’s business strategy, purpose, and culture. Global Markets - Technology Audit

As a Global Banking & Markets Engineering auditor, you will be involved in auditing various technology systems / applications used within the firm to provide assurance on the application controls related to Front Office like trade booking, Operations applications, data quality, data flows, data calculation processes used for regulatory reporting, along with other General Technology Controls including Application entitlement, Data Retention and Software Change Management.

Your Impact

As part of the third line of defense, you will be involved in independently assessing the firm’s overall control environment, and communicating the results to the firm’s local and global management the effectiveness of the firm’s controls that mitigate current and emerging risks, and monitoring the management’s implementation of control measures. In doing so, you are supporting the provision of independent, objective and timely assurance around the firm’s internal control structure, and supporting the Audit Committee, the Board of Directors and Risk Committee in fulfilling their oversight responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of business areas, its products, and supporting functions
• Lead planning and scoping processes and discussions, including meeting with stakeholders to understand key business processes and identify key risks and controls for assessment
• Oversee audit testing execution to ensure audit fieldwork is focused on the right areas and documentation meets high quality standards
• Identify risks, assess mitigating controls, and make recommendations on improving the control environment
• Prepare commercially effective audit conclusions and findings, and present to Internal Audit senior management and business stakeholders
• Manage open audit issues and their resolution
• Lead continuous monitoring processes, including regular meetings with stakeholders to assess changes in the control environment, impact of incidents and other matters that may impact coverage scope areas and the audit plan; develop executive summaries for discussion and presentation to senior audit management
• Participate in department-wide initiatives aimed at continually improving Internal Audit's processes and supporting infrastructure
• Assist with leadership and oversight of local team members

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a technology auditor focusing on Financial Services Technology audit
• BE/B Tech/BSc or equivalent University degree in Information Technology
• Ability to review / develop code (Java, C++, Python, etc.)
• Written and verbal communication skills a must; strong interpersonal skills essential. Job requires frequent interaction with senior technology management
• Understanding of software development concepts and system architecture
• High level understanding of databases, operating systems and messaging
• Proficiency in using and building data analytics
• Must be able to multitask while managing both time and work load

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Risk and Control environment and financial products
• Experience with Data Analytics tools and techniques
• Relevant certification or industry accreditation (e.g. CISA,CISM,CISSP,etc)

Our Team comprises professionals who helps our clients manage their business risks through the review and analysis of risks and controls within their business processes and the testing of these controls. Our professionals typically assist clients in developing risk based internal audit plans and undertake internal audit reviews of the business processes. The ideal candidate should:

• Preferably 7 to 10+ years of relevant experience, providing assurance and advisory services
• Possess a degree in Accountancy or equivalent (CPA/CIA preferred) and a minimum of 6 years’ experience in business controls, commercial internal audit or external audit in an international public accounting firm and/or a reputable multinational company
• Preferably have a good understanding of internal controls, Generally Accepted Auditing Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles coupled with experience in a variety of industries such as real estate, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing industries; knowledge of treasury operations
• Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and be responsible for leading audit, advisory and other ad-hoc assignments and ensure quality and timely delivery. This would include executing fieldwork where needed
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present ideas and results to technical and non-technical audiences, which include audit committees and senior management
• Have good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Provide coaching and over-sight to team members and proactively identify staff development opportunities
• Possess strong project and client management abilities
• Be willing to travel locally or regionally
• Be innovative and resourceful with strong interpersonal, organisational, presentation and report writing skills, have a naturally inquisitive mind and be able to think “outside the box”

About this role:

The audit director as an individual contributor provides strategic and operational leadership for their respective audit teams leading to the delivery of engagements in their risk coverage areas. Responsible to support RHIA to cultivate and manage relationships with senior collaborators in their business and/or functional areas leading to enhanced awareness of strategic priorities, key risks and deeper business knowledge. Use data to support IA processes, which may include working with internal and external partners to ensure greater insight and valued outcome.

Key Responsibilities:

· Ensure high quality audit and advisory engagements, in collaboration with the engagement clients, to foster simplification and enterprise approach.

· Actively support RHIA in managing relationships with business, functional, and corporate functions collaborators (global, regional, and/or local). This includes support in selection, training, and development of auditors by supporting and coaching during engagements and giving regular feedback.

· Supervise audit and advisory plans from preparation to delivery ensuring proper execution and reporting of results in line with Novartis IA methodologies and standards.

· Lead and deliver complex engagements including those without pre-defined frameworks.

· Manage short- and long-term audit planning, resource requirements, and resource allocation corresponding to identified risks and priorities.

· Build the preparation of a comprehensive risk assessment for the teams that serves as a basis for future assurance plans.

· Provide thought leadership in assigned areas of subject matter expertise and contributing to innovative approaches including advanced analytics.

· Ensure that audit and advisory methodology is adhered to, and quality standards are met.

· Ensure respective audit team execution supports simplification of key business processes aligned with the company’s aspirations.

· Support RHIA in highlighting risks, key insights, and trends to senior ECN/ACC reporting.

· Participate in Novartis IA projects / initiatives when needed.

· Support Global Security with specific Speak Up cases that require IA expertise.

· Using advanced analytics and applying available data to enhance risk assessment, audit execution, insight sharing, and business partnering.

Requirements

Essential Requirements:

· University degree (Finance, Engineering, Sciences or other relevant qualification) or equivalent required. Certified Internal Auditor, CA, MBA, PhD or equivalent are considered a plus.

· Proficient in English both written and spoken, excellent communication skills. Other languages are a plus.

· At least 7 + years of relevant business and/or functional experience. Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company is a plus.

· Business, functional, and/or operational competence in related functions understanding company strategy and main risks

· Experience working in a matrix organization and building close relationships with 2nd line assurance/risk functions

· Strong interpersonal, organizational and project management skills and resilience to meet multiple priorities and deadlines.

· Strong relationship building skills can influence, negotiate with and motivate senior leaders.

· Extensive knowledge of risk management, governance, and compliance

· Excellent verbal and written communication with strong influencing skills.

· Ability to travel domestically/internationally as needed (~30% travel)
