Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a terminal degree in their field of study. Candidates should also have at least 10 years of industry experience as well as an excellent practice-track record. As this position is specifically for teaching and applied research needs of the Accounting division, candidates should have strong and relevant industry and academic experience. This experience should be demonstrated through teaching feedback from tertiary institutions, publicly available outputs (e.g., teaching blogs, webinars), by giving teaching demonstrations or similar evidence of teaching effectiveness. There must also be evidence of service and some scholarship in the form of, but not limited to, good quality publications, book chapters, written cases, pedagogical research, etc. Knowledge of analytics tools, programming languages (e.g., R, SAS, or Python), statistical software, and their applications to accounting will be essential for the area of Data Analytics/ Artificial Intelligence for Accounting and Auditing, and preferable for the areas of Sustainability Reporting and Management, and Financial Reporting.

Associate Professors (Practice) are expected to excel at teaching, and service, work closely with students, and contribute to practice-based research, programme development and campus life. Candidates must also have relevant accounting related industry experience and a good network that can link NBS with the industry. Initial appointment term is generally for three years.

Faculty Position in Drawing and Painting at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer Level

The School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) at NTU, Singapore, invites qualified academics with strong creative practise to apply for a faculty position in as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Educator track).

This is a joint position between the School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) and the School of Electronic Electrical Engineering (EEE). ADM is part of the College of Humanities, Arts And Social Sciences (COHASS) and EEE is part of the College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. This position is housed at ADM, and the faculty member will be expected to deliver courses at ADM as well as ADM supported courses in the IEM program. The B.Eng in Information Engineering and Media (IEM) is a successful interdisciplinary program hosted by EEE and jointly offered with ADM and WKW School of Communication and Information.

The candidate serves interdisciplinary education in the field of visual art practice and concepts, covering courses in drawing, design concept, color theory and applications. We encourage candidates who possess solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills in drawing, painting, color theory and design concepts to apply. The faculty member will be expected to deliver foundation and visual culture courses in ADM, as well as ADM supported core IEM courses in EEE. The successful candidate prepares ADM and IEM students with strong fundamentals in visual art, with a contemporary world view of visual art concepts and developments.

This is an educator-track position, with service and research components. Applicants must be comfortable with the evolving landscape of contemporary media and design, and have the confidence to maintain proficiency, both academically and technically, to contribute to the vibrant research-driven culture that is embraced at NTU. You will help to design the on-going development of innovative curriculum to ensure relevance to contemporary industry and society. The selected candidate may also be required to coordinate ADM supported IEM course offerings. Faculty assessment will be in accordance with ADM teaching research and service guidelines. Contribution ratios to ADM and EEE will be determined upon appointment.

The Centre, a Centre under the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, currently teaches thirteen languages, mainly to undergraduates at elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels.

Duties:

1. A leadership role in curriculum development and teaching in Emperor’s Canon of Medicine, Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseases of TCM undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

· Engage in professional activities, such as attending conferences, workshops, and seminars, to network and stay updated with developments in TCM field.

Selection Criteria:

· A Master’s Degree in TCM discipline or higher.

· More than 20 years of teaching experience in TCM field.

· Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills & Highly Independent.
