Main Tasks
· Managed and maintained tank containers to meet optimum quality and safety requirements.
· Timely repairs and maintenance are performed in compliance with the procedures maintained by NewPort.
· Efficient and effective depots as well as optimal use of the tank container fleet.
· Complete, correct, processed administrative data without irregularities, ensuring a high quality of data in the NewPort computer system.
A)Technical maintenance of new and existing material
· Identify technical developments and problems to material.
· Provide technical support on incidents.
· Make an inventory of the repairs of equipment, control, modify and coordinate repairs and input of all relevant information into the NewPort Computer System.
· Ensure tank containers are maintained to the agreed quality standards, specifications
· React, alert and take actions on flaws and failures.
· Monitor and control the technical work and functions of the depots.
· Provide input for investment requests.
· Monitor and ensure that all test certificates after maintenance or repairs are available.
· Monitor safety and cleanliness of equipment and take actions for safety issues.
· Ensure that policies and procedures are followed.
B)Manage Depots
· Manage outsourced depots and cleaning stations falling under NewPort’s responsibility.
· Instruct and monitor assignments for minor repairs.
· Ensure that the appropriate test certificates are available.
· Register residual loads and additional cleaning fees.
· Report findings to the Team Leader.
· Oversee depot improvement audits.
C)Administration
· Collect data to monitor the progress in line with the defined goals, advise on irregularities in compliance and check agreed the prices from the suppliers.
· Identify differences in interpretation of administrative data and irregularities in data and take appropriate action.
· Perform work outside the indicated result area as and when deemed necessary by NewPort management.
Requirements:
- No relevance working experience is require as full training will be provided.
- Physical field training will be needed for technical parts.
- ITE/Diploma in Machanical or logistics or Business administration or equivalent.
- Computer Literature.
- Knowledge of international transportation business.
- Experience in shipping, freight forwarding in import & export, mechanical, repair & maintenance would be an advantage.
- Able to adapt fast and comfortable with working on in house system.
- Able to cope in fast pace environment.
- Multitasking pre requisite.
- Fluent in English, both written and oral.
- Meticulous and responsible for the profit or loss of the orders.
- Able to work independently, self-motivator and a team player.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal with people in different level/department.
- Team player mentality.
- Plus point for those who possess ISO Tank knowledge.
