The Goal

OpenBet are looking for an experienced Development Lead to join our team of skilled engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering scalable solutions that run on our leading cutting-edge sports betting platform. This will ensure you take our products and your career to the next level.

What you’ll be doing

• Technical leadership: Understand the platform and technologies used and guide future direction
• Team leadership: Coaching, support, and development of the team
• Customer liaison: A trusted point of contact between OpenBet professional service teams, our customers, and partners
• Incidents: Management of, and escalation path for live production incidents

Key Tasks

• Build and maintain functionality for our sports platform
• Manage a mixed team of approximately 5 Software Engineers
• Manage and contribute to technical end-to-end delivery of projects
• Become a primary point of contact for and maintain strong relationships with both external and internal customers
• Lead design and code reviews, set coding standards and ensure they are met by deliverables
• Ensure engineering best practice principles are always applied
• Design solutions that are compatible with the strategic direction of the company
• Participate in an on-call support-rota for the production system.

Must Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience building web applications and 2+ years experience managing development teams
• Experience interacting with customers, external partners and business stakeholders
• Demonstrable talent coding (preferably in Java & TCL)
• Good knowledge of large-scale website or application architectures and technology stacks
• Experience working with applications distributed across multiple data-centers
• Strong sports betting knowledge
• Good understanding of relational databases (preferably IBM Informix)
• Experience deploying software to production environments

Nice to Have Skills

• Automated testing and CI/CD (preferable good knowledge of Jenkins)
• Release management and configuration management experience.
• Experience working in a regulated industry

Specific responsibilities;

• Lead audit team and conduct audit for initial, surveillance and re-certification audit in a professional manner.
• Ensure that SGS Knowledge Procedures are followed for relevant product under their expertise.
• To carry out customized audit as required by Knowledge business.
• Conduct training courses under their specialty.
• Provide market information to the management team on new market trend and business opportunities.
• Staying updated with changes in medical device regulations and standards, maintain a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape.
• To carry out any additional task as required by Operation / Certification Manager

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemistry/ Biology / Microbiology/ Food Technology / Pharmaceutical / Computer/ Software Technology (IT)/ Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Diverse experience as an auditor in different industries.
• A strong understanding of relevant medical device regulations and standards is essential. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, such as the U.S. FDA's regulations (21 CFR Part 820), ISO 13485, and other international standards, is crucial.
• 5 years full time working experience in R&D and/or QA in relevant industries.
• Preferably prior auditing experience (Example: ISO 13485, ISO 9001)
• Preferably completion of recognised ISO 9001and ISO 13485 Lead Auditor Course
• Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Acts quickly and decisively.
• Be able to work independently with high level of initiative and resourcefulness.
