Job Description

What a Senior Director, Issuing Sales, Value Added Services (VAS) - AP does at Visa

The Senior Director, Issuing Sales, Value Added Services (VAS) - AP will be accountable for driving top line revenue growth and overall market adoption of Issuer-centric products across the region to support Visa’s aggressive growth targets for VAS.

This role is based in Singapore and reports to the AP head of VAS.

This leader will drive maximum value by targeting both existing clients and net new clients. His/her primary responsibilities include: driving revenue, retention, and renewals, managing day-to-day relationships with strategic clients, and ensuring optimal customer engagement post-sales through operational excellence.

Importantly, the Sales focus for this role will be on an Issuer-centric client segment vs. a specific Solutions domain. As such, the leader will be accountable for managing Sales of multiple solutions domains that address the needs of Visa’s Issuer clients. This will include select Risk Solutions in addition to Issuing Solutions, and the selected leader will manage a team of sellers with fluency across each.

Responsibilities:

Business Results 

• Exceed aggressive sales targets for Visa Issuing Solutions AP
• Work cross functionally to develop and deliver annual and 3Y revenue & profitability plans
• Support the build of and adherence to regional ‘go to market’ plans
• Achieve objectives and outlook by leading sales alignment with global and regional Issuing product and solutioning teams and other Visa functions
• Proactively help AEs / Sales Generalists identify opportunities to leverage existing Issuing products and solutions
• Drive teams to create a high value pipeline for new business and upsells
• Lead teams through the sales cycle from prospecting through close
• Enable sales acceleration and prioritization of activities with high potential client targets, use cases, industry segments, etc.
• Lead regular pipeline review and problem-solving sessions with salespeople and help problem solve when client plans are stalled

• Partner closely with regional and global Sales enablement functions – including GTM & Commercialization and Sales Operations – to adhere to best practices in making Visa Products easy to buy and easy to sell
• Partner with local Sales Engineering teams to inform detailed development and delivery of customer-centric Issuing solutions
• Work with Legal to ensure client contracts drive to successful outcomes for both Visa and our clients
• Work with Client Delivery and Client Services to handoff the sale to implementation and ensure well-run projects
• Facilitate the capture and communication of client feedback on product and VAS to inform product evolution.

Job Responsibility :

1. Develops, coordinates, guides and maintains REO strategic and operational plans in support of company vision, mission, values, and site objectives & targets.

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is Visa's client-facing consulting division, serving Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers and merchants) and solving their strategic problems linked to money movement. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, payments, data analytics, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA drives high impact and tangible financial results. In Asia Pacific (AP), VCA has two types of teams – (1) Geo team, focused on serving the accounts in their geography and (2) Practice Area teams, focused on providing and deepening expertise in functional topics such as risk, digital, corporate banking, AI, etc.

What A Senior Director, Corporate Banking and AI does at VISA:

As a Senior Director, you will lead, grow and deliver the strategy, business, team and financials for VCA's Asia Pacific Commercial Banking and Strategy Practice Area. You will be responsible for defining (1) what to sell and (2) how to sell, that enables VCA Asia Pacific to sell, deliver and implement high value consulting and analytics projects and solutions with this diverse and growing set of clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Be accountable for developing ‘set-plays’ (or package consulting offerings) for commercial banking clients, and AI focused set-plays in payments & money movement
• Lead the scoping, selling, and delivering of key client engagements, to prove viability of set-plays developed
• Take joint responsibility (along with geo focused VCA teams) for meeting key metrics such as revenue growth and client satisfaction
• Establish Intellectual Property (IP) repository on topics related to corporate banking, commercial payments and AI for VCA by capitalizing on learnings from consulting engagements (e.g., frameworks, create library of case studies etc.)

What the SD, Head of Core Product Management does at Visa:

Reporting to the Head of Consumer Solutions, AP, the Head of Core Product Management will be responsible for initiatives across four broad areas of responsibility

1. Management of established core products - Credit, Debit and Prepaid to maximize operational efficiency in managing these established platforms
2. Identification and development and execute initiatives to drive expansion of Visa’s consumer credit portfolio, in line with the Visa 2030 strategy, driving growth in associated PV and revenue across.
3. Facilitate Visa’s thought leadership in the AP payments industry through promulgation of Core Product best practices.
4. Sourcing and management of Visa’s core cardholder benefits, across mass, affluent and x-border

The role-holder will lead a team of direct line reports in Singapore and works closely with Core Product teams across AP, responsible for evolving and building end-to-end consumer experiences that drive client preference for Visa as a strategic partner and make us an enabler of superior value propositions for digitally-enabled consumers.

An essential part of Visa’s success is the establishment and application of rules and standards, to ensure a uniform, reliable point-of-sale UX, both online and offline. The Head of Core Product Management will lead the efficient administration of these Rules and Standards as they pertain to Core Products, ensuring that the Rules are fit-for-purpose, while also ensuring their efficient operation and administration.

The role-holder will be responsible for the identification, development, commercialization and launch of new ways to grow the consumer unsecured credit business in AP, working closely with issuers and internal Global counterparts to expand “credit-card” issuance, as well as newer ways of efficiently facilitating the provision of unsecured credit, for example BNPL or other methods.

In addition, the SD, will manage Visa’s cardholder benefits such as merchant and partner benefits, Visa Concierge, Insurance and Visa Luxury Hotel Collection, as well as Core VAS (Value Added Services) service lines such as GCAS (Global Customer Assistance Services), Lounge referrals, Visa Customized Benefits, and the capabilities that support the delivery of these benefits and services. This includes the identification of Visa’s Concierge and Lounge strategy.

As part of this role, the Head of Core Product Management will also be responsible for facilitating the gathering, analysis and promulgation of best practices and recommendations for optimal Core Consumer Product performance both internally within Visa, and as a thought-leader externally, working closely with Visa Consulting & Analytics. 

You will need to be highly collaborative and will be the key interface between the market teams and Visa’s global team to ensure our platforms drive product differentiation, consumer activation and engagement

As well as working with in-market, client-facing teams, your team will work closely with the Global counterparts, Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Client Services, Finance, Pricing, Legal.

Core Consumer Products are the key basis for Visa’s business in AP and encompass conventional card-based credit programs as well as newer digital solutions. Within Core Products, Consumer credit spans most life-stage and income segments in all Visa’s AP markets from entry-level credit products through to solutions designed to meet the needs of Ultra-High Net Worth consumers and as such is a key platform for revenue generation and consumer engagement for Visa and our clients.
