JERA GM is implementing a series of new IT systems to reduce its reliance on its shareholders for IT services and to enable the rapid growth into a global leader in the trading of fossil fuels.

At the core of the system landscape is a set of vendor systems that support critical business activities such as trading, risk management, pricing, and logistics. JERA GM have and will continue to make significant investments building on top of these systems to tailor them to the specific needs of its business. Up until now, this work has been performed by teams of consultants. JERA GM would like to develop an in-house capability, so they can be self-sufficient in the ongoing development on this platform.

This in-house capability needs to be able to extend, customise, configure and integrate these systems to meet the ongoing needs of the business. They will also support the development of new bespoke systems, such as for business intelligence and decision support, to meet needs not provided by the vendor systems.

The Core Platform Analyst Developer will:

• Work to obtain excellent business knowledge of the full transaction cycle within a multi-commodity energy trading environment such that they can converse directly with users and other stakeholders with minimal hand-holding from Business Analysts.

• Develop new features on the company's credit system (Cubelogic) and ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) system to support the company's growth (new products, new processes), in a Python/Azure (Databricks & ADF)/C# / SqlServer environment.

• Demonstrate a broad set of technical skills including expert database development and administration, Python/.NET/C# development and Powershell Automation/Devops skills.

• Build new features on the various applications that revolve around the Cubelogic/ETRM (APIs, loaders, reports, BI). • Have a strong engineering focus and eye for high quality delivery. They will be expected to deliver high quality software and adhere to modern software engineering practices. They must also be driven to automate everything as this is ingrained in the culture of the team.

• Work within a hybrid internal/consultant/vendor team to deliver a backlog of new features, enhancements, bug fixes and integrations to support the ongoing needs of the LNG and Coal trading businesses. Demonstrate a strong ability to self-organise when required.

• Work collaboratively with the rest of the JERA GM technical team, whilst also demonstrating end-to-end ownership of entire problems where required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

A key coordination role in the supply chain tasked to fulfilling distributors' stocks and handling communication between international manufacturers and distributors.

· Work in company system to update distributors demand and do allocation of inventory between distributors based on individual situations

· Execute long and short-range inventory strategies

· Update distributors on the latest pricing and inventory data

· Handle inquiries on products and coordinate product issue resolution between distributors and relevant departments

· Work closely with the operations team, procurement team, and distributors on stock fulfillment

· Handle enquirers such as inventory availability, order follow-up and delivery coordination, and freight quotations

· Coordinate and optimize freight movement

· Secure regional sales forecast into the demand planning process

· Facilitate sales and operations planning to review forecasts and provide visibility on supply status

· Monitor inventory levels and issues execute various fulfillment strategies

· Ensure that inventory control processes are in place and consistent with the inventory turn target

· Negotiate with distributors and solve problems in supply chain

· Identify and report on issues for improvement

· Other related tasks as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or Diploma holder in any field.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Ideally experienced in the automotive sector
• Independent, self-motivated, resourceful, and reliable
• Proficient with spreadsheets, specifically ability to compare and analyze large datasets
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• This role deals with China market, conversant in Mandarin is a must
