Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for Full Set accounting. (AP, AR & GL)
• Perform receipt and bank posting in the system accurately and promptly on all payment modes.
• Actively monitor AR aging and follow up with customers to reduce AR days.
• Verify accuracy of vendor invoices, staff claims and petty cash reimbursements.
• Perform SOA reconciliation and liaise with suppliers for payment matters
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Housekeeping and filing of finance documents
• Perform month-end closing for the financial report within the timeline and relevant audit schedules.
• Monthly payroll calculation and CPF submission
• Perform any other ac-doc duties as requested or assigned.

FULL TIME/PART TIME ACCOUNTANT

Handle daily finance operations, which includes but not limited to General Ledger, General Journals, Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables

• Manage for the month-end and year-end closing activities

• Generate and process accounting reports (i.e., Invoices, Aging, Incentive and Commissions)

• Prepare aging reports, credit risk evaluation and credit analysis and follow up on debt collection

• Recording payments and checking and matching with cash, cheque transactions

• Getting quotations, matching of suppliers' invoices

• Maintained Fixed Assets Register and track existing and new fixed assets

• Examining bank statements and reconciling them with general ledger entries

• Inventory accounting/control/reporting and analysis Prepare payroll functions to ensure that employees are paid in timely and accurate manner, overtime computations and time sheet verifications

• Preparation of audit schedules and liaison with external auditors Ensure compliance to all legal/regulatory requirements

XCL World Academy is seeking to recruit an Accountant providing support to the Head of Finance for finance operations of XCL World Academy and XCL American Academy.

The successful incumbent should be able to commence immediately.

Main Responsibilities

• Handles a full set of accounts (Independent contributor), including month - end and year - end closing.
• Assist, manage and maintain Fixed Asset Register
• Assist the AR/AP teams for any process control/ system improvement, following up with outstanding fees.
• Responsible for reconciling and agreeing intercompany balances within the Group and its related companies.
• Reporting on intercompany balances for Month-end and Year-end closing.
• Process overseas/local suppliers; payment and prepare journal entries for accruals and other adjustments.
• Evaluate and improve AP and GL process and timely review of Open POs.
• Preparation of monthly and year-end schedules as per Financial Statements, Bank Reconciliation and Petty Cash.
• Submission of FPS insurance.
• Ensure compliance with the mandated insurance for fees collected in advance under the Fee Protection scheme.
• Review multiple entity accounts and liaison with various departments.
• Provide insight on financial matters and assist in implementing financial policies and controls with compliance of accounting policies & procedures.
• Responsible for Year-end Statutory Audit. Liaise with external auditors to close the audit on a timely basis.
• Liaise with Tax Agents on annual tax computation & amp; submissions to ensure tax compliance and all tax returns are submitted on a timely basis.
• Preparation of GST filing.
• Support senior management and project managers on major initiatives and projects where needed.
• Perform any other ad hoc projects as required.

Person Specifications

• Minimum Degree in Accounting, or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years or relevant experience or similar role.
• Hands-on bookkeeping is preferred. Candidates with a strong audit background in Big 4 firms may also be considered.
• Experience in NetSuite Accounting software would be an advantage.
• Strong in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in handling Statutory Audits.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Possess excellent time management, attention to detail, multitasking and ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Positive mindset and excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work alongside other staff from various departments.
