Tasks / Duties:
Client Delivery

• Deliver timely quality service to the client to ensure all requests for designated clients are met, ensuring any client/investor queries are responded to within 24 hours

• Ensure that KPIs are developed, implemented and reported quarterly in accordance with agreed SLA’s

Management of Workflow

• Work with Back Office on client deliverables to ensure adequate resources are allocated and fully utilised

• Provide constructive feedback to Back Office on a timely basis and ensure Back Office receive appropriate development support
• Plan workloads and utilise support team / additional resources where necessary to ensure deadlines are achieved
• Ensure reconciled cash balances are maintained for clients at all times.

IQ-EQ Fee Management

• Ensure our electronic time sheets are completed daily, and accurately for all hours worked and recording ad hoc work completed for billing purposes

OK, SO WHAT ABOUT THE ROLE?

As Accountant , you will play a crucial role within our organization in supporting our operations across the region. Milieu manages a community of consumers who provide us with thousands of valuable opinions daily across countries in South East Asia. In exchange, they can accumulate points to redeem a range of rewards (e.g. cash, vouchers). As an Accountant, you will be looking after certain aspects of our financial operations such as facilitating the disbursement of rewards to our users, closing of monthly accounts, Accounts Receivable billings and financial analysis.

A FEW OTHER THINGS WE LOOK FOR

• 3-5 years of accounting experience and able to handle full set of accounts
• Preferably with audit experience
• Working knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google suite.
• Experienced in using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle etc) but not essential
• Good communication skills including a strong command of English
• You have a keen attention to detail, are highly organized and a team player

Key Accountabilities:

Strategic Tax and Customs Planning

• Provide support to all areas of tax, including transfer pricing, corporate, VAT/GST, personal tax to legal entity management, business model review, value chain evaluation and any other business proposition.
• Monitor and track tax incentives related matters including application for new incentives and renewal of existing incentives.
• Provide assistance to ensure that the Group’s global transfer pricing policy and guidelines are transacted on an arm’s length basis that satisfy both group and domestic transfer pricing requirements.
• Working with external consultant and internal stakeholders to support to custom reduction applications.
• Update key risk register and provide evidence to risk mitigating plans.

Special Projects

• Assist with specific special projects/initiatives where they are broad-based and relate to the strategy and operational businesses of The Company.
• Draft project objectives and implementation plan, and assists in driving the execution of these special projects, including coordination across various stakeholders, tracking and monitoring progress and project metrics, developing of presentation materials (as required), etc.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to provide strategic discussions materials on directions and/or approaches to resolve identified issues.
• Create and develop content for project workshops, steering committee, executive-level presentations and reports.
• Track consultancy budget/spend, procurement process and department KPI.

Tax Controversy and Tax Dispute Resolution

• Draft/review all submissions and information provided to all competent authorities to ensure that information provided are in aligned with the Group’s operating structure.
• Coordinate tax discussions and settlement meeting with tax authorities.
• Formulate outcome to facilitate discussion options for senior management and relevant internal stakeholders
• Assist to develop post settlement action plans to remediate/mitigate future tax implications arising from the settlement outcome with the competent authorities.

About You:

• Related Finance Degree or equivalent professional certification
• Minimum 5 years with public consulting firm and/or experience in tax related role in commercial setting
• Accredited Tax Practitioner is an advantage
• Excellent knowledge in MS Office, particularly with developing PowerPoint content

Roles & Responsibilities

• Preparation of all types of sheets and statements, including balance sheet and profit and loss statement
• Assistance in the initial set-up of the accounting books and records system (chart of accounts, mappings with foreign accounts, accounting policy, software, etc.
• Reporting of the accounts receivable and payables
• Collaborate with auditors for clear checking and audit queries
• Composition of audit schedules
• Group consolidation and production of management accounts for the senior management and shareholders
• Composition of the fixed assets reports with complete details
• Maintains cash book with bank details
• Preparation/review of corporate income tax return
• Every other type of listings, such as purchase, sell, etc
• Advises and gives feedback to the client regarding the improvement of finances
• Maintaining the company’s accounting records and sheets

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Required Skills: Full set of Accounts, AR, AP, GL, Taxation
• Have experience in Xero software.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)
• Bilingual in English and Korean as candidate is required to liaise with Korea associates
• Self-motivated
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
