Who we are looking for

The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting the technical execution of water and wastewater treatment projects. You will work closely with senior project team members, ensuring that engineering aspects are met and project milestones are achieved.

What you will be doing

• Assist in the design and development of water treatment and wastewater projects.
• Support project execution through technical evaluation, analysis, and recommendations.
• Prepare project-related documentation including technical reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor engineering performance on project sites.
• Collaborate with the project team to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
• Support the project management team in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Provide input for process optimization and continuous improvement in project design.

Education and Experience

• 1 to 3 years of progressive experience within a water/wastewater treatment environment with thorough knowledge of methods, techniques, principles, and practices of water/wastewater treatment, water distribution, and wastewater collection.
• Strong communication, skilled in report and technical writing, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to lead and manage team members and projects.
• The background will ideally include project work and process knowledge of site work, hydraulics, pipeline, and water/wastewater treatment.
• Project Management Profession (PMP) is preferred.
• Strong PC skills with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and the ability to optimize the use of technology and systems to communicate, manage budget and to streamline processes, and increase efficiency.
• Preferable with a valid driver’s license of class 3.

We are looking for a talented Lead Process Engineer - Biopharma to join our industry leading Process Engineering team at our growing office in Singapore.

The Sr. Process Engineer will assist senior staff with designing and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment and plants (from pilot to fully operational) for Biotech and Pharmaceutical Projects. The assignments include specific tasks on project teams and the Process engineer should use their education, creativity and expertise to resolve engineering problems and tasks as assigned.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop Design and Engineering Deliverables and supporting narratives for Bio-Pharma Process and Clean/Black Utility Systems.
• Develop Design deliverables for Concept, Basic and Detailed Design – URS, PFD/PIDs, Process Calculations, FA/FAC/PSV Sizing, Line List, Equipment List, and Equipment Specifications. Data Sheets, Instrument Data Sheets, Material Requisitions, TQ/TBA, etc.
• Assists with the preparation of engineering studies and schematic design for new systems and analyze operation of existing systems.
• Generates Specifications and Data Sheets for Process/Mechanical equipment and provide input to instrument data sheets as well as supporting narratives.
• Adheres to Process/Mechanical and manufacturing design scopes of work for each project and alerts appropriate staff about changes or requests for additional services.
• Prepare Equipment Requisitions/Packages for bid.
• Carryout techno-Commercial Bid Analysis
• Review vendor submittals and documents
• Sees that satisfactory relationships are maintained with clients, consultants and other vested interests.
• Provides site support on projects designed or constructed by IPS.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum of 12 years of process engineering/design experience, preferably in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech or Bio-Pharma industry.
• Should be independently able to develop Design deliverables for Concept, Basic and Detailed Design – URS, PFD/PIDs, Process Calculations, FA/FAC/PSV Sizing, Line List, Equipment List, and Equipment Specifications. Data Sheets, Instrument Data Sheets, Material Requisitions, TQ/TBA, etc.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Proven experience generating PFDs, P&IDs, process equipment and instrument data sheets as well as supporting narratives.
• General knowledge of system design and applicable codes in process engineering.
• Has a demonstrated strong time management skills and the ability to manage projects, problem solve and communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Pharmaceutical, Biotech or Nutraceutical industry experience is strongly preferred.
• AutoCAD experience.
