NATURE & SCOPE:
Technical Assistant will be responsible for managing the document control system for the MOPU’s, FSO’s and preparing technical proposals and specifications.
Assist the Technical Team in reviewing and preparing Technical Evaluations.
The candidate is expected to have sufficient technical knowledge and experience to ensure that technical and administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner.
This is a local position for Singaporean or Singaporean PR.
PURPOSE OF JOB:
This position is to assist the technical team in managing document control for the MOPU’s (Production Rigs), FSO’s, Flag and Class Certifications, Insurance Certificates.
The position will assist in preparing technical requirements, liase with contractors and suppliers, review invoices and purchase orders and requests.

REPORT TO: Operations Manager
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Manages Document Control System
2. Supports technical and engineering personnel with project support duties.
3. Compiles technical reports.
4. Provides input to technical reports, project planning, etc.
5. Produces accurate statistics, relevant figures, etc.
6. Undertakes data analysis, identifies and investigates variations.
7. Prepares technical drawings, datasheets and documents under the direction of the Technical Lead.
8. Develops and maintains technical databases and spreadsheets.
9. Sources technical documents, information and drawings.
Critical Skills:
1) Core Technical Experience
a) Previous relevant industry experience in Engineering and Project Management
b) Excellent skills with Microsoft Office applications
c) Advanced use of e.g. Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Project.
d) High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
e) Minimum 3-5 years of experience.

a) Good general level of education; with good standard of numeracy and literacy required.

The position has no expenditure authority.
LEVEL OF AUTONOMY
The position has a ‘medium’ level of autonomy. The job holders are expected to be able to manage themselves and not require approval from the Fleet Director on how tasks should be performed.
