WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

Job Description:

You will be part of a tight, close-knit warehouse team that manages the daily operational warehouse functions for THE PROVIDORE SINGAPORE ("Company").

Together as a team, you will support the Supply Chain Manager in ensuring proper maintenance of warehouse inventory, updating shipment records, ordering required items, and ensuring accurate information is put on record.

• Safe movement of inventory and materials across facilities; sorting, organizing and storing of inventory in proper locations
• Picking, packing, and labeling of items correctly, ensuring accurate processing of inventory for delivery
• Removing inventory from trucks / shipment delivery for stocking or delivery to proper locations
• Checking of delivered items to ensure quality / quantity is correct
• Reporting of any possible damaged or missing inventory to direct Supervisor
• Stacking and organizing of large / bulky items using proper machinery where required
• Updating of logs and documentation for inventory processing
• Generation of Purchase Orders / Delivery Orders, and due follow-up tasks
• Maintenance of good housekeeping in warehouse and retail spaces
• Ensure workplace is free of debris and removal of safety hazards from aisles
• Adhere to safe operating procedures and workplace safety at all times
• Assist is preparation of documentation and inventory for audits
• Any other skill-development or ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Prior related experience in a warehouse environment will be advantageous but not necessary as training and guidance will be provided!

1) General administrative, data entry for the company account

2) Apply/Renew Worker's permit, familiar with MOM application of work pass

3) Knowledge of the application of all safety courses for workers

4) Monthly computation of worker's timecard

5) Compilation of invoices for submission to the Accountant to do the monthly P&L

6) Prepare payment cheque to Sub-Con or suppliers

- Must be familiar with MS Office, Proficient in English, and able to speak Mandarin

- Preferably with working experience in the construction field

7) Responsibilities: Plan, develop and implement Public Relations strategies.

8) Build and maintain a positive relationship with stakeholders, authorities and the public.

9) Respond to inquiries and feedbacks and ensure all issues raised are properly addressed.

10) Updating and organizing related complaints and feedbacks from the public or residents

• Working Days: Mon - Fri
• Working Time: 9am to 6pm

• Able to work in freezer and chiller.
• Good to have forklift licence.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Process orders on a daily basis and organize them for deliveries.

- Pack daily delivery stock in an efficient and timely manner.

- Notify the salesperson when the stock is running low.

- Check the stock and prices daily to avoid any discrepancies in packing.

- Clean the store and office thoroughly at the end of each day to maintain cleanliness.

- Keep a comprehensive knowledge of store items to provide advice and recommendations to customers as needed.
