Job Description Summary
Overall Logistics operational performance (Warehousing) in Greater Asia, including the management of Regional Distribution Centre in Singapore and lead continuous improvement projects & strategic initiatives for logistics function in Greater Asia.
This is a Greater Asia regional role based in Singapore with responsibilities for the development, management, and execution of, regional and domestic distribution centers and local distribution logistics across all business segments of BD. He/ She will drive continuous improvement programs and strategic initiatives related to logistics function.
This person shall collaborate with counterparts from Businesses and across functions at WW and country levels to drive the improvement of the logistics capability by championing the development of logistics personnel's core competencies and support operational performance through Cl projects.
You will provide the right developmental opportunities and coaching to the Greater Asia Logistics teams, ensuring that the team has the skills and competencies to achieve its KPls and deliver on its strategic initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive logistics operations excellence around on-time execution, losses, damage, scrap, track & trace, freight payment, DC Quality and customer related metrics.
- Collaborate with Global Transportation, Business and functional teams in region and countries to improve international and local delivery performance, Supply Chain quality improvement and Supply Chain Cost
- Collaborate with Global Trade manager to enhance customs speed while ensuring full compliance.
- Manage contract logistics providers and establish a robust partnership with strategic partners, including accountability for the Regional Distribution Centre.
- Work with Global and Greater Asia country SCM organizations to achieve optimal Distribution Network to support business goals, including location and number of distribution centres, transportation methods to result in significant savings in total delivered while improving customer service.
- Champion Logistics personnel core competency development initiatives, including the development of training and development plans using the established BD core competency model.
Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) KPI
- RDC operating budget
- GDPMDS compliance in RDC & ISO 13485 compliance for storage and distribution for BD Holdings
- Expected to identify improvement opportunities in logistics related process within RDC and its immediate upstream/downstream network.
- Lead the execution of operating plans related to Logistics in the region.
- Provides input into key business decision related to Global/ Regional Supply Chain network.
- Accomplish tasks through coaching of experienced logistics executives and third-party logistics partners.
- Develop a strong collaborative partnership with strategic logistics partners.
- Chair performance reviews (monthly performance review & QBR), country DC metrics review and Quality Management Review to drive for operational excellence and identify areas of improvement.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor/MBA Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related degree
- At least 5 years in Logistics and supply chain with functional leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain
- Excellent leadership & communication skills Business acumen
- Lead and work independently
