Responsibilities:
· Participate in regular audits and inspections of the facilities to identify hazards and areas for improvement.
· Organize and facilitate safety meetings within each operational area.
· Monitor, interpret and disseminate HSE regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
· Ensure timely reporting and investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses and provide recommendations for corrective/ preventive actions.
· Coordinate and follow up on any HSE issues or non-compliance raised by external parties and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
· Work with the management/ operational teams to develop, implement, and maintain HSE management system, policies, procedures and standards.
· Liaise with external parties such as certification bodies, government agencies, principals and customers on HSE related matters.
· Develop and deliver HSE training programs to educate employees/ contractors on safe work practices and procedures.
· Monitor and report HSE performance metrics, including lead and lag indicators.
· Perform the duties of a Fire Safety Manager stipulated under the Fire Safety Act.
Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) officer and registered with Ministry of Manpower.
· Must be a certified Fire Safety Manager.
· Possess good knowledge in WSH Act, legal and other requirements.
· Possess excellent problem resolution skill.
· Able to multi-task, communicate with stakeholders and work under pressure.
· Experience in Industrial Machinery/ Marine Engineering industries highly preferred.
