· Manage the change order process from identification to resolution of change: prepare, interfacing with involved functions, and negotiate any claims against or from client and vendors/contractors.

· Support negotiations of claims, variations, change orders and resolve disputes or conflict resolution with client, vendors/contractors in collaboration with Project Management, Legal Department and others as required.

· Evaluate supplier/subcontractor claims entitlement and variation order under the contract requirements.

· Monitor and track contract milestone activities and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to collate supporting document and/or evidence for milestone completion/achievement as per contractual requirements to claim the payment.

· Liaise with project team, participate to meetings, examine drafts, revise and file all correspondence having a contractual relevance exchanged during project execution with clients, vendors, subcontractors and authorities.

· Attend meetings to assess progress on projects which are in motion, and take detailed notes to share with stakeholders

Position Overview

As a key member of the International Business Development team, the Manager – APMEA Business Development plays a critical role in helping this vision come to life by leading the franchising efforts for new market entries across Asia Pacific and Middle East and Africa. Drives Wendy’s new franchise recruiting efforts across APMEA for both Traditional & Non-traditional opportunities. Partners with key international leaders to develop and inform franchise recruiting strategies by market. Manages all new franchise recruiting programs/processes and drives the recruitment, selection and placement of new APMEA franchisees. Helps to manage efforts of the Global Recruiting Coordinator/Specialist to ensure candidate progression through the pipeline. Maintains and develops APMEA content for the Wendy’s franchise recruiting website, marketing materials, public relations efforts, and resources that heighten the awareness of the Wendy’s brand, franchising and new growth opportunities within specific APMEA markets. Manages new franchise candidate inquiries from website, internal, and external sources. Partners with Communications, 3rd party creative firms and agencies to develop and evolve marketing and PR materials and communications strategy related to recruiting and new development. Partners with Franchise and Development Legal partners to update and evolve important information provided in the FDD/CDD and/or shared from the FDD/CDD, earnings releases or other Company communications.

APMEA STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP & INDUSTRY RELATIONS

Manages 3rd party strategic relationships and partnerships associated with APMEA franchise recruiting and development, such as IFA, BFA, franchising related media & publications agencies, Retailers, Fuel Partners, Lenders, Brokers and Developers. Attends key industry conferences and networking events to establish relationships and leverage key resources across the financial, broker and development community that can help to identify new APMEA franchise leads. Partners with Franchise Development and Finance leaders to help educate franchise lending partners on company initiatives impacting the franchise community.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with at least 10 years professional work experience preferably in a corporate environment with an emphasis in franchising, recruiting, new restaurant development and/or strategic development.

Role and Responsibilities:

Assisting a Line Manager with a relatively heavy daily operational & commercial workload, including:

· Overseeing daily operational aspects, including monitoring vessel movement at sea and vessel activities when in port, and maintaining close liaison with overseas agents. Notwithstanding communicating to master.

· Managing space control, including executing over-booking, cargo selection addressing fixed slot customer excess requests and liaising with oversea agents on booking forecast.

· Updating vessel positions for both our own operated ship and partner’s vessel and disseminating revised schedule to internal office, agency and key clients.

· Close monitoring of daily vessel speed resulting in bunker consumption using the system to ensure the vessel consumption aligns with Time Charter Description (TCD) and cross check against other sister ships previously operated in the trade or region.

· Monitoring and reviewing bunker survey report of individual stems and confirm that reported quantities align with the master’s reported ROB, and immediately addressing any variations.

An Assistant Line Manager (ALM) may be assigned to manage a third-party independent service. While the cost is typically fixed, the ALM can influence the profit and loss through space utilization and rates.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Managing daily correspondence regarding vessel schedules, space management, and pricing with internal and external parties.
