Your Role
In this role, you will be responsible for executing the People and Culture plan for the Asia Pacific region aligned to our global People and Culture strategy. This is a regional position with responsibility to execute and deliver a consistent approach across all group companies within the Asia Pacific region; leading and implementing strategic and tactical initiatives across the region with regard to People and Culture; including Talent Acquisition and Management, HR Operations including Payroll, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Development and Culture and Values. Initial responsibility will be for an employee population of up to 1,000 in the Philippines and 30 in India, in addition to supporting our Climate Infrastructure team in Singapore as we acquire new assets and complete new projects.
This role will be based in Singapore with regular travel to our companies in the Asia Pacific region and will report to the Group Chief People Officer, working closely with the senior regional personnel.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead, drive, develop and engage the business in People and Culture initiatives for the Asia Pacific region.
- Drive a high-performance culture, ensuring execution and alignment of all performance objectives with business goals.
- Develop and continuously improve the employer brand in the Asia Pacific region aligned to the global brand.
- Develop and execute on employee involvement initiatives and events, practising and observing company values in all activities and decisions impacting people.
- Align, lead and execute on the company’s Total Reward strategy for the Asia Pacific region.
- Liaise with all stakeholders to provide regular internal communications group wide.
- Lead on employee involvement events, employee wellbeing initiatives, welcoming feedback and executing an annual employee survey.
- Quarterly reporting via a People and Culture dashboard that satisfies all stakeholder requirements across the full suite of MI for HR.
- Enhance diversity, equality and inclusion programmes.
- Develop and support HR teams on HR initiatives and operational processes.
- Lead on the implementation of a Talent management programme for the Asia Pacific region to include leadership and management learning and development.
- Manage regional people budget.
- Be a champion for change management.
- Support for projects as directed.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- Existing experience as Head of HR/People in a high growth and fast-paced global business within Energy, Utilities, Finance, Technology or related sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience of implementing improved global people practices.
- Professional and technical knowledge of Asia Pacific HR.
- Proven track record of leading people initiatives scaling a business for growth.
- Demonstrated ability to drive success through building appropriate business plans, goals, KPIs and other metrics.
- Strong ability to distil information into clear and compelling messages.
- Proven ability to gain trust, build rapport and earn respect as a specialist and business enabler.
- Comfortable and confident to challenge the status quo with an eye on improvement.
- Strong ability to lead and motivate at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence and engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of existing market trends and regulation in our sectors and business segments.
