Upscale fitness Studio with two locations in Hong Kong, and one in Singapore, seeks Studio Manager to oversee Singapore branch at Palais Renaissance on Orchard Road. Candidate will have senior management experience in the fitness industry with knowledge of sales, customer service and physical plant operations; knowledge of MBO. Position oversees Studio Supervisor and other Front Desk Team, and liaises with HR, Marketing, Sales and Company Directors. Must be fluent in English and Mandarin. Successful candidates should have 3 years’ management experience in the fitness industry, and relevant references. Salary commensurate with experience. Team bonus offered for achieving monthly targets.
1. Customer Service and Schedule Management
a. Daily, Weekly, Monthly procedures for Customer Service/Front Desk
b. Recruit, train and manage Front Desk Staff in all Customer Service and Operational procedures as well as Sales; set studio policies
c. Follow and train staff in Customer Service protocol
d. Reviewing of POS system and terms (credit card, PayNow, etc)
e. Answer enquiries for corporate, complimentary and promotional classes
f. MindBody Online (MBO) management
i. Plan and set instructors schedules
ii. Monitor unpaid visits monthly
iii. Freeing up slots for new clients (make the call to cancel class, or adjusting instructor’s availability)
iv. Setting and updating pricing
v. MBO Comms: (listed policies, waivers, auto-emails, client forms, etc
2. Physical Plant
a. Oversee physical plant; responsible for upgrades/maintenance
b. Develop and follow protocol for handling physical plant emergencies
c. Supervise cleaners; review and change cleaning agency if studio sanitary and cleanliness standards are not met.
3. Human Resource Management
a. Review current staff organization and job functions
b. Implement changes for greater effectiveness
c. Communicate with and manage non-instructing staff regarding job function, expectations and performance
d. Check payroll reports before submission for payment
e. Answer questions regarding employment contracts, payroll, etc
4. Sales
a. Annual revenue projection
b. Set monthly targets
c. Compile accurate and final data for Monthly Overview and Sales Summary reports
d. Set up of Corporate Membership Program, Corporate discount details and create info sheet to disseminate to Corporate staff
