Universal Pictures International ('UPI') owns and operates direct theatrical marketing and distribution of feature films in many locations around the globe including Austria, Australia, China, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, India, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and UK & Eire. In other territories UPI markets and distributes movies through its joint venture offices, as well as in select territories through licensees who are contracted to distribute on UPI's behalf. JOB DESCRIPTION
- Connect daily with key South Asia markets including India, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam; ensuring that local markets have the support and resources they need from the local, regional, or global level to achieve excellence in distribution and operations.
- Engage with individual markets to prepare quarterly/industry/MPA summary reports on market health, growth, and trends and all periodical and adhoc reports.
- Work closely with Director of Theatrical Distribution, VP South Asia, the regional marketing team, and markets to ensure cohesive planning and execution of budget and plans and day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate closely with the London-based strategy team on commercial and analytical projects.
- Lead the operations of on ground events for annual meeting, periodical meetings and regional meetings.
- Oversee the logistics of film distribution, including DCP delivery, in Bangladesh, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Timor Leste, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
- Engage daily with regional Director of Theatrical Distribution to ensure film releases are optimized, ensuring successful film distribution strategies.
- Stay informed about industry developments and emerging trends to enhance our competitive advantage by creating detailed box office and competitive landscape projections across film slate.
- Provide data driven analytics to create comprehensive presentations to VP of South Asia and to assist in the development of distribution plans and budgets for individual films and the overall film slate.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to end users related to internal digital interface for use by regional and local teams and connect bi-weekly with London based IT office to update and enhance user experience.
- Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to meet requirements set by regional distribution team including gathering and analyzing data for business intelligence solutions.
- Key contact person of all data reporting and analytic platforms in the region and across all markets.
- User expert of all global box office reporting and analytic platforms including Numero and ComScore
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Requirements:
- Have experience and knowledge in supporting the theatrical sales and distribution function
- Understand the entertainment or content landscape
- Have experience dealing with the international marketplace, multiple international offices, languages, and cultures required
- Solid command of basic tools and skills such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Strong command of multiple reporting platforms
