1. Monitor and record expenses related to marine operations, including fuel, maintenance, repairs, and supplies.
2. Assist in developing and maintaining budgets for marine projects, ensuring expenses stay within allocated funds.
3. Review and process invoices from vendors and suppliers, verifying accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
4. Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets accurately and in a timely manner.
5. Prepare regular reports on cost performance, budget variances, and financial trends for management review.
6. Analyze cost data to identify areas for cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
7. Maintain organized records of financial documents, such as invoices, receipts, and purchase orders.
8. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements in all cost-related activities.
9. Collaborate with other departments, vendors, and stakeholders to gather information and resolve cost-related issues.
10. Provide support to senior cost management personnel in various tasks, such as cost forecasting, financial analysis, and project planning.

Description:

• Responsible for the full spectrum of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
• Perform Verification and Reimbursement of staff claim
• Process Accounts Payable Invoices & payment
• Uploading of invoices into XERO
• Justify and resolve discrepancies/disputes and, issue debit or credit notes
• Ensure all Accounts Payable payments are properly approved before the timely payment
• Update Cash Flow
• Handle quarterly GST reporting and queries
• Verification of income tax comps, and the preparation of various reports/responses to government stat boards
• Perform Reconciliation & Bank Reconciliation
• Resolve payment-related inquiries
• Correspondence with Suppliers
• Managing Supplier's payment on time
• Manage month-end closing requirements
• Support internal and external audit queries
• Generate reports from the computer system as needed by The Director
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• At least LCCI or Diploma in Accounting qualifications
• Minimum 2 years experience in Accounts Payable and able to handle Creditors/Suppliers' Invoices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office & XERO software
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Possess a positive working attitude and able to work as a team
• Able to start work immediately

• Salary Package: Up to $2900 + Variable Bonus + $90 (Transport Allowance)

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and processing all incoming customer payments, which include securely handling cash and cheque deposits and updating banking records.
• Generating and obtaining approval for official receipts, reconciling bank statements with the ledger, and accurately recording transactions in the System.
• Coordinating with the Sales team to ensure the correct application of payments to invoices and to address any payment discrepancies.
• Managing export-related financial documentation, preparing daily financial statements, and contributing to accounts payable activities as needed.
• Maintaining precise financial records, issuing tax invoices for various incomes, taking part in inventory counts, assisting with cost accounting tasks, and supporting the finance team with month-end activities and other administrative tasks.
• Other ad-hoc duties that may be assigned.
