Our client, a leading quality food provider and wholesaler, is looking for an experienced leader to join their growing business as Assistant Sales Manager (Retail Channel).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Management

• Deliver an exceptional account management experience for retail grocery channel customers.
• Monitor and report on all customer activities and asset performance; including assets, sampling drives, new product launch performance, POS and shelf-space performance and promotional activity.
• Prepare and present business reviews that highlight category performance in-store, challenges for joint attention and opportunities for future growth.
• Ensure all invoice queries have been responded to on time and that the customer account is maintained within payment terms. Where invoices are unpaid, follow up with the appropriate customer representatives to have overdue invoices receive the necessary attention.

New Business Development

• Range expansion for existing brands including additional shelf space and new product listing.
• New brand placement where there is an opportunity for material sales in the grocery channels.
• Develop new customer opportunities in physical retail channels.
• Prepare and present new business proposals to modern trade channel customers; including where appropriate product and price submissions, trade marketing and promotions.

In-store Execution

• Drive in-stock execution and activation across all customers through the merchandiser team.
• Ensure planograms, stock weight, stock turn and promotional display presentation are executed as per the agreed plan per customer.
• Execute Promoter Sampling program in stores.

Trade Promotion

• Propose and align promotion plans with retail customers which have been developed by brand principles and Channel Development Manager.
• Provide input into trade promotion concept and creative that aligns with managed accounts brand identity and target customer base.
• Monitor and report on promotional results and ROI, sharing with customers and brand principals.
• Ensure all trade spending is compliant with the approved process and claims process on time. Respond to any trade spend queries from principals immediately.
• Manage promotion budgets and resources per retail customer to drive productivity and sustainability.
• Monitor competitor activity in key accounts, providing insights and feedback to the team and brand principles that support effective market response.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, or related disciplines
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Sales/Key Account Management
• Proven sales experience in Foodservice/Food/Beverage/FMCG industry
• High competence in stakeholder management

The Account Receivable (AR) Systems team is part of Finance Revenue Operations and is responsible for the systems and technology utilized by the AR operations teams.

The analyst will be responsible for systems support and management of prioritized enhancement initiatives. Core operational responsibilities include end user support, improving our operational infrastructure, and supporting key business initiatives. Other responsibilities will include KPI analysis and operational reporting to leadership.

Responsibilities:

Duties

• Strategise and implement projects that allow rapid detection of microbials in food and related environmental samples to support food safety regulatory programmes and foodborne outbreak investigations.
• Provide solutions and perform tasks that strengthen laboratory productivity via automation and digitisation.
• Conduct studies, analyse results, and showcase the scientific achievements through peer-reviewed journal and delivery of presentation on specialised areasin management meeting, national and international platforms.
• Conduct literature search for preparation of technical papers and provide updated scientific knowledge to support operations and review of regulatory standards.
• Implement laboratory quality assurance programmes, including writing SOPs, conduct internal quality control testing and participate in international proficiencytesting to ensure that the laboratory practices are in full compliances with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 quality standard.
• Provide support in routine laboratory operations, such as quality assurance programme, procurement of lab equipment and consumables, contract management, etc.
• Carry outadministrative and laboratory duties as assigned by supervisor tomaximize laboratory efficiency.

​Qualifications/ Other Requirements

• Ph.D, Master, BSc with experience in Microbiology, Molecular Biology,Biological Science, Food Science, Virology, or other relevant disciplines.
• At least 1 year of hands-on laboratory experience in (food) microbiology andmolecular biology in diagnostics or research laboratory.
• Excellent writing and presenting abilities are essential.
• Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, a team player, andprepared to take on extra responsibilities as needed.
• Must have a good mindset to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere and provideresults within deadline.
• Experiences in SOP, report and project proposal writing would be anadvantage.
• Working knowledge of advanced molecular biology techniques, including NGSinstruments and bioinformatics analysis, would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of quality assurance program and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 laboratoryquality system is an advantage but not a must.
