Your Responsibilities: -

• Review existing HR policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and aligning them with the company's overall business strategy and objectives.
• Work closely with Heads of Department to forecast manpower needs, develop recruitment plans, and budget for staffing requirements to support business growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with business units to identify skill gaps and development needs, designing and implementing learning and development programs to enhance employee capabilities.
• Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.
• Facilitate the performance management process, including setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and managing compensation and benefits structures.
• Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans, in line with company policies and legal requirements.
• Lead talent management initiatives such as succession planning, career development pathways, and talent reviews to identify high-potential employees and nurture their growth within the organization.

You will need: -

• Min. 5 years of relevant working experience
• Degree in Human Resources or related qualifications preferred

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with IFRS 17.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including the preparation of regulatory returns.
• Collaborate with various departments to analyze financial data and provide strategic insights to senior management.
• Assist in the transition to IFRS 17, including system updates, process changes, and staff training.
• Liaise with external auditors, including those from Big 4 firms, to ensure compliance and resolve any audit issues.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior finance team members.

Skills and experience required

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 17 is essential.
• Experience in the life insurance industry or with a Big 4 accounting firm’s insurance audit practice.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, with a solid understanding of regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
