We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager, Lending Services.
Principal Responsibilities
The Operations Organisation consolidates and brings together operations and service delivery teams under the Digital Business Services umbrella to create a global “best in class” service delivery.
The job holder’s role is setting out the day to day operations at on-shore relating to pre and post disbursement process such as :
- Disbursement Cashier Order checking and mortgage execution
- Secured overdraft with the knowledge of handling unit trust, shares, bonds, notes as securities
- Jade Global Insurance Premium Financing processes
- Other home loan restructuring processes
- General admin and system maintenances especially HUB and HLS systems
- Assist in Suspense reconciliations checking and various exception reports checking
- Handling of feedbacks and enquiries from both internal and external customers including law firms
- Investigate complaints with resolutions purposes
- Using statistics/MIS to ensure daily productivity and TAT without any backlogs
- Report any adverse circumstances / process immediately to direct supervisors
In addition:
- Assist in off-shore governance activities
- Participate in projects relating to Lending Services
- To ensure that operational processes are standardize, eliminate duplications and focuses to provide a cost efficient delivery via process improvement without comprising to compliance and control
Principal Accountabilities
- Impact on the Business / Function
- Deliver day to day operational activities and safeguard the bank from potential operational loss
- Leverage best practice across similar business activities and improve operational efficiency and cost savings
- Ensure that the TAT is tracked and monitored
- Deliver operational performance through successful initiation and delivery
Customers / Stakeholders
- Working with business partners to minimize operational risk occurring including risk identification, assessment, mitigation and control.
- High standard of customer service delivery and contribute towards the continuous improvement of the dept
- Ensure operations have a satisfactory audit with losses and complaints eliminated / contained
Leadership & Teamwork
- To contribute towards the development and performance of staff with a shared sense of ownership
- To motivate and retain team of senior operational clericals
- Constantly challenging the status quo logically with facts and evidences
Operational Effectiveness & Control
- Ensure compliance with regulation, policies, guidelines, audit recommendations
- Maintain HSBC internal control standards including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- Ensure operations have satisfactory audits with losses and complaints contained
- Implement Group Compliance policy locally by managing compliance risk in liaison with Area Compliance officer or Local Compliance Officer
Qualifications
- A university degree is a minimum requirement or at least 4 years in operations field.
- Experience in managing a team and good interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of operational processes, a strong analytical mind and related regulations is required.
