Duties and Responsibilities

1. Handle samples obtained from human (blood, plasma, serum, post-mortem brain tissues) or animal studies, including the proper processing, documentation, tracking, storage and retrieval of samples.
2. Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
3. Manage and coordinate daily operations and maintenance of the laboratory, including administrative duties.
4. Support the PI and Research Fellows in experimental procedures related to neurochemistry and blood-based biomarkers research.
5. Assist the PI and Research Fellows in supervising and training students and junior researchers.

Qualifications

3. Previous work experience in the following area(s) is advantageous:

• Handling human and/or animal specimens as well as biobanking

1. Direct growth of MAC on target substrates using a UV-based CVD approach.
2. Transfer of 2D material, layer-by-layer assembly of the all-carbon transistors and memristors
3. Electrical tests of the devices, exploration of the transfer curves of transistors with thin amorphous dielectrics
4. Characterization of MAC (e.g. optical, electrical, Raman spectroscopy, Atomic Force Microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope).

If hired, the Professor will be part of the Centre for Translational MR Research (TMR), which offers state-of-the-art Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) capacity for both clinical and translational research. TMR is staffed with trained personnel to support research in imaging and image analysis, spanning from basic science to clinical trials. DesCartes Program (work package 9) is looking for research assistant in UI/UX design and library development. The objective is to develop a user interface and implement libraries as required for the DesCartes Builder, a novel open-source framework for designing, validating, and integrating innovative hybrid AI models and methodologies.

DESCARTES PROGRAM

The DesCartes programme is developing a hybrid AI, combining Learning, Knowledge and Reasoning, which has good properties (need for less resources and data, security, robustness, fairness, respect for privacy, ethics), and demonstrated on industrial applications of the smart city (digital energy, monitoring of structures, air traffic control).

The program brings together 80 permanent researchers (half from France, half from Singapore), with the support of large industrial groups (Thales SG, EDF SG, ESI group, CETIM Matcor, ARIA etc.).
