Job Description

Job responsibilities:

• To provide necessary support to the Front Office trading team as well as other relevant departments in the Company, and correspond with external counterparties as and when necessary, to prepare, negotiate and finalize physical oil trading contracts for (and on behalf of) the Company; the aforesaid and below to be conducted under the supervision of the Contracts Team Leader (the “Contracts TL”) and relevant trader(s), with specific work scope to include but not be limited to:

- Following the Company’s Front Office Trader’s deal recapitulation, to prepare and send the contract draft to the counterparty,

- To check the counter proposal from the counterparty in accordance with the Company’s internal procedure(s),

- To finalize the contract with the counterparty after obtaining the Company’s required internal authorization,

- To conduct all related and relevant contract documentation process in relation to the trading deals concluded, and

- To consult with the Company’s Front Office Trader, other relevant internal staff/departments, and the Contracts TL as and when necessary, during the above-described process and in the course of your duties in the Company.

• To maintain/file all documents, agreements and records related to the above activities;
• To record/update the database for the above transactions; and
• Any other general contractual support or ad hoc assignments as may be requested/required by the Company and/or the Contracts TL from time to time, including but not limited to the review of long-term agreements such as master agreements, offtake agreements and storage agreements.

Requirements

• Candidates with at least 2-3 years of relevant working experience in oil/gas trading companies, especially if such experience is directly relevant to (and in) the conducting of physical contract administration/negotiation type of work.
