Position Overview:

The Library Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective management and operation of two libraries within the school – one for the secondary school section and another for the junior college section. The Library Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and promoting library resources, services, and programs that support the educational and recreational needs of students, teachers, and staff. This role involves both administrative and educational components to foster an environment conducive to learning and research.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Library Operations Management:

● Oversee the day-to-day operations of both the secondary school and junior college libraries.

● Fine-tune and enforce library policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent and efficient library usage.

● Oversee the main functions of the library – Finance, Acquisition, Cataloguing, Reporting, Weeding and Circulation.

● Manage library staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations and welfare of staff.

● Monitor library budgets, expenditures, and resource allocations.

2. Collection Development:

● Collaborate with teachers, curriculum coordinators, and school administrators to curate library collections that align with the academic needs of both sections.

● Evaluate and select appropriate print and digital resources, including books, journals, databases, and multimedia materials.

● Regularly assess the relevance and currency of the collections and make informed decisions about acquisitions and deselection.

3. User Services:

● Provide exceptional customer service to library users, assisting with research, information retrieval, technical inquiries and book recommendations.

● Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment in the libraries to encourage learning and collaboration.

● Support CCA teacher-in-charge in training and supervising student librarians.

4. Library Technology and Systems:

● Oversee the implementation and maintenance of library management systems, databases, and digital platforms.

● Ensure user-friendly access to electronic resources and digital collections, troubleshoot technical issues, and facilitate training for library patrons.

5. Promotion and Outreach:

● Develop and implement strategies to promote library resources and services to students, teachers, and parents.

● Organize and participate in events, book displays, and reading initiatives to encourage reading culture and engagement within the school community.

6. Collaboration and Partnerships:

● Collaborate with subject teachers and faculty to integrate library resources into the curriculum.

● Support Library Head in all matters pertaining to the library as a resource center.

7. Professional Development:

● Stay updated with current trends and developments in library science and education through continuous learning and participation in relevant workshops, seminars, and conferences.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library and Information Science or related field.
2. Previous experience in library management, preferably in an educational setting.
3. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
4. Proficiency in library management systems, technology, and digital resources.
5. Knowledge of educational trends and curriculum needs.

• Manage on-boarding and exit processes, which includes orientation, confirmation and off-boarding.

The role:

The Southeast Asia Business Exchange initiative was announced by the Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese at the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum in Jakarta on 6 September 2023 as part of Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040. The strategy, developed by Special Envoy for Southeast Asia, Mr Nicholas Moore AO, sets out a practical pathway to increase Australia’s two-way trade and investment with Southeast Asia.

The Southeast Asia Business Exchange Team will support Australian exporters to enter, compete and grow in Southeast Asia. They will also support efforts to boost two-way trade. As part of the program, Austrade team members will:

• Seek to strengthen Southeast Asia literacy in the Australian business community including driving awareness of the opportunities in Southeast Asian markets to Australian business and consumers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key partners including industry bodies, business councils, and chambers.
• Recruit for and deliver sector specific business missions across the region in collaboration with partners.
• Perform and coordinate aftercare services for participants in business missions in collaboration with our regional network.

The Southeast Asia (SEA) Regional Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in creating the commercial and policy outcomes for the program.

Duties include:

• Develop and implement Southeast Asia wide marketing strategies to raise awareness of the Southeast Asia Economic Strategy and commercial potential it forecasts both within Southeast Asia and Australia.
• Work with a regional team of marketing managers to amplify Southeast Asian wide messaging, find synergies and efficiencies as they as they localise the sectoral and market strategies included in the Southeast Asia Economic Strategy.
• Maximising promotional opportunities to support the success of business missions.
• Create content and new opportunities to raise SEA literacy and awareness of the commercial potential between Australia and Southeast Asia within the Australian business community.
• Partner with Australian based stakeholders to ensure regional content, insights and context is appropriately reflected in the Australian domestic marketing and communications campaign highlighting Southeast Asian exports to Australia.

Job Description

The Data Center Facilities Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of our data centre infrastructure. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facility's operation, including power, cooling, fire protection, security, and environmental controls. Key objectives are to:

Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with minimum 5 years relevant industry experience or Diploma in electrical engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in datacentre infrastructure and facility management

•Familiar with fire safety rules and regulations associated with operating complex datacenter infrastructure

•Proficient in data centre monitoring and management software

•Familiar with data center fiber and structure cabling would be a added advantage

•Possess Datacenter certification eg. CDCP, CDFOM
