Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)

1. Collect Clinical Data for Research Studies:Ensure proper consent is obtained from patients enrolled in research studies.
   Collect clinical data from various reports and clinical notes for accurate data entry.
   
2. Maintain Stem Cell Transplant (SCT) Research Studies Database:Regularly update and maintain the database for stem cell transplant (SCT) research studies.
   Assist Clinical Research Coordinator(s) in creating and maintaining site files.
   
3. Manage Study Status Updates:Submit necessary documents to the Domain Specific Review Board (DSRB) to maintain study status updates.
   Assist Principal Investigator (PI) in preparing research study protocols and document submissions to DSRB.
   
4. Coordinate Data-Related Clinical Research:Act as the main coordinator for data-related aspects of clinical research projects.
   
5. Data Extraction and Reporting:Extract data for analysis and generate reports for publication, conferences, or presentations.
   Provide required data to the Principal Investigator (PI) for conference presentations.
   

Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)

1. Analysis and Report Writing Support:Assist with data analysis and contribute to report writing for research projects.
   
2. Support Value Driven Outcome (VDO) Projects:Work collaboratively with the Value Driven Outcome (VDO) team.
   Provide data required by the VDO team within given timelines.
   
3. Ad-Hoc Research Duties:Complete other ad-hoc research duties assigned by the Research Officer (RO) or Principal Investigator (PI) within specified timeframes.

NRPO also works to foster public-private partnerships to ensure robotics technologies and IPs developed with public funding are relevant for industry and are commercialised into useful products, services and solutions that are adopted in Singapore and around the world.

A key role of NRPO is to bring together end-users across different industries, robotics & automation companies, and our IHLs/RIs to identify use cases and technology gaps that public-private partnerships can help to address. In so doing, we enhance Singapore’s robotics R&D capabilities and help Singapore-based robotics & automation companies to innovate and differentiate themselves in the market.

Another key role of NRPO is to work together with partner agencies to grow our robotics (supply-side) industry comprising system integrators, robot vendors, software and component suppliers. I am looking for one highly skilled and motivated individuals to work with me as full-time research professionals for a period of at least one year. The start date is subject to negotiation, but may be as early as 1 March 2024.

You will work with NUS Business School Professor Karsten Müller at the Department of Finance. For the most part, you will support Karsten’s ambitious research agenda on the link between credit markets and the real economy. This work uses macro and micro data and cutting-edge statistical methods to understand the drivers and consequences of who in the economy receives credit. Among other things, you will help to (a) construct novel data sources to measure credit market conditions, (b) analyse data to document the role of credit markets in recessions and stock market crashes, and (c) analyse the effectiveness of financial policies and credit subsidies in stimulating economic growth.

You will work with us on a variety of tasks, including data collection and analysis, statistical programming and data visualization, conducting literature reviews, summarizing research findings and policy documents, and editing research papers.
