· Strong technical background in cybersecurity and network technology and management, i.e. firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, NAC, MDM, SIEM, routers, switches, antivirus, patch management, privilege access management, end point security, etc.;

· Proficient in Microsoft products which include Windows Server 2016/2019, SQL, Microsoft 365, migration & upgrade of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, etc.;

· Hands-on experience in administration of backup and recovery solution such as Veeam or Veritas , SCCM, VMWare, Citrix, Cisco & HPE switches, SAN, etc.;

· An advantage if candidate possess a Class 3 driving license;

To ensure the toolbox meeting is conducted for his direct workers and subcontractors and attend all toolbox meetings early morning and Liaise with the client.

Manage and lead the operations team.

To monitor and control the progress of work. Oversight of all operations in the company, reporting directly to the management making critical decisions relating to the ground management of operational assignments and manpower deployment matters.

Ensure all authority-related requirements are followed during the execution of work and liaise with authorities if required.

Manage the project scope and changes and escalate the issues where necessary.

To provide quality assurance to ensure all the works under his responsibility are executed in accordance with proper & established work standard procedure

Conduct management and project-related training for the team members, whenever required.

Monitor sub-con works and attends meetings to ensure the execution of work is smooth.

Render support to the project manager to liaise and coordinate with other Contractors to ensure the smooth execution of works under his responsibility.

Be able to go to the dormitory daily and liaise with the workers and solve issues where required.

Able to work odd hours as and when required.

Any other ad-hoc duties.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite life and health insurance applications (new business and policy servicing) and decide if the risk can be accepted
• Explain underwriting decisions and requirements to the sales channels
• Provide service support and liaison for the sales channels, provide guidance to team on case management/channel management
• Assist the sales channels on their queries related to underwriting requirements and underwriting decision
• Liaise with reinsurers on complex cases or refer cases to reinsurer if sum at risk exceeds treaty limits
• Check and sign off underwriting requirement letters and special terms letters prior to release
• To be involved in adhoc duties or projects related to underwriting
• Provide training and development of junior underwriters.
• Responsible for conducting case reviews and providing performance/development reports.
• Supports regulatory and industry reporting to ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and drive projects as required.
• Responsible for managing team's service standard.

Qualifications

• At least a diploma or degree
• A degree in Insurance or Biomedical Science or Life Science would be an added advantage
• At least 8 years of experience in life and health underwriting
• Experience in Singapore life insurance market will be preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Team player with good interpersonal skills
