• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner

• Schedule, assign, and supervise all housekeeping operations on the assigned guest floors to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness.
• Provide assistance with various assignments within the housekeeping department as needed.
• Supervise, organize, and coordinate the activities of Housekeeping Attendants I and II (Rooms), as well as any contract workers assigned to the guest floors.
• Attend daily briefings, noting VIP arrivals and special attention items for guests.
• Conduct briefings with room attendants to ensure the execution of special requests.
• Inspect vacant, clean rooms, report discrepancies to housekeeping for assignment, and notify the hotel duty manager for further investigation.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in either Guest Rooms, Uniform or Laundry operations.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, and on the eve of public holidays or public holidays, as required.
• Ability to interact confidently and effectively with all levels of management, guests, associates, and stakeholders, both within and outside the hotel.

Assistant Cook duties and responsibilities

The primary duty of an Assistant Cook is to assist the Cook in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. Their main duties include

· Assisting the Cook in food preparation activities, such as cleaning, cutting, chopping and peeling food ingredients

· Cleaning and sanitising the food preparation areas based on company and industry hygiene codes and health and safety standards

· Washing, disinfecting and properly storing cooking and kitchen utensils and equipment

· Buying, weighing and storing ingredients and food supplies

· Operating a variety of kitchen appliances and instruments including cutters, knives, mixers and ovens

· Managing inventory, unloading supplies and organising the storeroom
