- Creation of videos and video-editing skills for presentations.

Summary of Job Position:

To assist the Financial Controller in overall smooth running of the Accounts Department, ensure the timely preparation of financial reports including forecasting and budgeting and also compliance of internal controls requirements.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise the month-end closing of the books and ensure the timely completion of all financial and statistical reports according to the predetermined datelines.

2. Ensure all General Ledger accounts are reconciled monthly and material variances investigated.

3. Review monthly AP and AR Ageing Reports.

4. Timely reconciliation of bank accounts and make adjustments on legitimate differences. Any unexplained variances must be promptly investigated and reported.

5. Assist the Financial Controller concerning the hotel's financial affairs, preparation of monthly/quarterly financial reports, budgets and forecasts, and all other related areas.

6. Review all journal entries, vouchers, checks, debit/credit notes, etc.

7. Check payment vouchers and ensure that the payments are supported by invoices and the required supporting.

8. Ensure inventories are properly taken and variances with book values are promptly investigated and resolved.

9. Assist the Financial Controller in managing the day-to-day operations of the Accounts department, ensure a smooth and effective daily work routine of the Accounting employees.

10. Assist the Financial Controller in the supervision, training and development of Accounting employees.

11. Ensure temporary replacement is readily available to cover absenteeism due to annual leave, sick leave, etc.

12. Ensure compliance to the hotel’s policies and procedures, internal control requirements and recommend changes to enhance the procedures as may require.

13. Co-ordinate the collection and compilation of reports and statistical data required by the management, statistics survey for hotel industry and other statutory board.

14. Attend meetings and take charge of the Accounts department in the absence of the Financial Controller.

15. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

1. Audit professional with one or more of the following qualifications:

1.1 Bachelor degree in Accounting;

1.2 Possess CA Singapore Qualifications will be an advantage;

1.3 Possess other professional accountancy qualifications from recognized accountancy bodies that

are recognized in Singapore including ACCA / ICAEW /Singapore CA/ CPA Australia or equivalent;

2. Big 4 audit experience preferred. Candidates from the mid-tier audit firms will be considered.

3. Minimum of 5 years in auditing with at least 1 year in a supervisory role and currently working in the

audit profession preferred.

4. Knowledge and competent to handle all auditing areas and the International Financial Reporting

Standards and the Singapore Financial Reporting Standards. Knowledge and experience of US

Generally Accepted Accounting Principles will be an advantage.

5. Required language: Fluent in verbal and written English.

6. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

7. Salary commensurate with work experience in auditing.

8. Able to start at short notice will be an advantage.

10. Strong technical knowledge will be an advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Spend ample time in lobby to welcome and solicit guests for feedback.
• Perform check-in and check-out duties. Assign room and prepare keys for check-in.
• Resolve guests complaints to their satisfaction.
• Patrol with Security the hotel premises to ensure orderliness.
• Responsible for the Guest Service Manager float and currency exchange.
• Process 3rd party charges such as credit card charges.
• Match bills with correspondence for billing to Corporate clients and Groups/Travel Agents.
• Walk VIP guests and bridal couple to the guestroom.
• Complete Daily Duty Manager log after each shift.
• Prepare Guest incident report
• Keep informed on all current matters and maintain complete and readily accessible files and records necessary for effective operation.
• Maintain close liaison with all other departments to ensure 100% guests satisfaction.
• Attend Department meetings and other meetings as required.
• Conduct daily roll call with the team. Assign, coordinate, and supervise work activities of team. Communicate activities, any problems and/or special information.
• Conduct OJT (On-the-Job) training for new and existing Associates on duty.
• Conduct performance appraisals for Associates and manage their performance by coaching and training them in accordance with established hotel standards.
